Mark grinned to Metody. "Decorations look good, Met -- need my help with anything?" After all, he was ostensibly on barista duty.

He beamed at him.

"Um. Maybe you should get something to eat and drink? I don't think there's anything I've forgotten. Is there?"

He turned around, looking over the room with worry. Rodan sniffed at Metody's ankle, then reared up to put his paws on Metody's legs, considering a scramble to the man's shoulders. Metody hastily shoves him down. "No climbing!"

Mark grinned back. "Well, you're the party man. The party man who's being scaled by kittens, looks like." He moved to get himself some food before the partygoers beset the buffet too heartily.

"Hans lets them climb him, so they think they can climb everyone." 'Let' might be too strong a word here. He scoops up Rodan, letting him drape heavily over his shoulder.

"Thankyou for coming, by the way."

Katie cheerfully ducked in, carrying a small package under her arm. "Am I on time, or late, or early?"

Metody happily waved.

"Hello! I think you are perfectly on time, and everyone else may be fashionably late. How're you?"

"I'm good," Katie said, smiling. "Planning and plotting." She handed over the package. "Congratulations, by the way."

He grins at her, taking the package.

"Thankyou! And thankyou for coming. What are you planning and plotting? Or is it a nefarious secret?"

Hans eyed all four cats sternly, willing them to behave and not do anything untoward that would upset their special day. He was fairly certain at least one of them was working on a hairball of epic proportions, since one of them had gotten into some of Metody's craft supplies at home. That always resulted in a glittery ball of yuck and unhappiness, sooner or later.

He adjusted his ivy crown, and turned his attentions away from the felines to his finance. "You look lovely tonight, have I told you? So handsome."

Metody all but sparkled at him, slipping one arm around Hans' waist to give him a squeeze. This was enough to send Mothra and Mr. Hairless ambling around Hans in a lazy cat way.

"As do you. Just like a movie star, my dearest one."

Mothra sniffed at Hans' shoe, then, as Metody went up on tiptoe to give Hans a kiss, attempted to shove his entire head into Hans' pants cuff.

Hans leaned in to kiss Metody, then abruptly laughed as a cat shoved himself up into his pants leg.

"Mothra, no- get out of there. Bad kitty."

He shook his leg, to no avail - the cat was holding on to his sock. He gave Metody a baleful look.

Saladin peered in cautiously from the staff doorway. She honestly wasn't certain how people celebrated anniversaries - she had some vague idea, of course, of there being a party involved, and friends, but beyond that? Not so much an idea. She decided a safe bet was to get a plate of food and a drink, smile politely to anyone who asked, and compliment the anniversarians where possible. Good plan. Here goes.

Rodan the cat found her first. Helpfully, he sat down directly on top of her feet, and gave her a hopeful look.

Dot made her way in, carefully balancing a package wrapped in bright yellow paper in one hand, and a crown of autumn leaves on her head with the other hand.

"Hi people! Congratulations!" She carefully held the package out. "This is for both of you!" She addressed Metody, but smiled at them both.

She didn't need a festive occasion to wear her own ring, but held it out shyly for them to examine. "I don't know if either you have actually seen it on me. Isn't it wonderful? Thank you so much for helping us." This last was addressed to Hans in particular, seeing as how he'd helped both of them along as the rings were being created.

"Oh, wow, thanks!" He took the package with a grin, then peered at her ring with avid interest. "Oh, gosh, that's amazing! Congratulations!"

Hans got a glowing smile, too. Wonderful, helpful Hans.

"Thank you! Katie made this one for me, and I made hers, but we wouldn't have been able to do it without your help." Beaming, she added, "You're coming, right? To the ceremony, whenever it is? We still have so much to do, but we are working on it."
