"That is a tree." Imogene informs him, most helpfully. Knowing the ways of Taiki to a small extent now, however, she looks at the tree before ridiculing further.
"A shrub." He corrects. "The plant spirit is having an argument with a snow sprite." Taiki replies, shoving his hands in his pockets and staring at the conflict happening a few feet in front of him. "I think it is crabby because its sleep was disturbed."
Imogene is surprisingly willing to go with this. "What does a shrub's spirit look like?" she asks. "Did I offend him by calling him a tree? Do snow sprites bite peoples cheeks and ears when they don't cover up? It would explain things."
Combeferre has built a snow fort, with an admirable collection of frozen ammunition.
He has also secured both the French National flag, and the flag of Ohio University, and attached both to a rather large branch, that now serves as a flag pole in front.
"Viva France!" He calls, grinning, in a very playful mood today. Even temporally displaced students need to blow off a little steam, and have a little fun now and again.
Sabe takes the artillery to the arm, MANFULLY. "Not the face because I am very beautiful." He replies with utmost gravity, waving his hand in a circle around his money-maker.
Two snowballs will be lobbed towards that obnoxious French call. Sabe can't see but it doesn't matter because the French are wimpy anyway.
Gabriel had once thought that, after Skuld, he would never play in the snow again. Still, here he is carefully crafting a snow person. he is on his knees rolling up the snow for the lower extremities, brushing the snow with dirt and leaves in it off as he goes to keep the form as cleanly white as possible. He is well bundled up, scarf, hart, mittens, and a heavy coat over his usual jacket but it is easy to see who he is from the way he moves.
Gabriel turns. He smiles at the girl. She looks familiar but he can't be sure he has met her. There are often children in the loft. She reminds him of his niece. Though he hasn't seen her in a year she must be that size by now.
This is the sort of thing that is more fun with others. Young others in particular.
"Yes. I would love help." He says. He doesn't get up but offers her a mitten covered hand to shake. "I'm Gabriel. What is your name?"

...When someone walks under her perch, the tiny girl shakes the limb to dislodge a branch's worth of snow on the passerby.

She shakes the snow out of her eyes. "What are you doing up there?" she calls to the girl sitting in the tree.

He's an academic more than he is an athlete, but he still doesn't do half-bad under normal circumstances.

Dot tries to run through the snow; in the end it is more plowing than running but she is making progress.
"Hello! Do you need help with the snowperson?"
She is bundled to the eyes all in shades of red and green -- green hat with a reindeer pattern, red scarf, red boots, green mittens.
It's hard to wave when you are wearing so many layers, but she does it pretty well.

She shakes his hand, because that is Polite.
"How can I help? Do you need sticks? Or a carrot for the nose? What are you going to do for eyes?"
The scarf muffles her words a little bit, but it doesn't keep her from spitting out questions.
