Gabriel had once thought that, after Skuld, he would never play in the snow again. Still, here he is carefully crafting a snow person. he is on his knees rolling up the snow for the lower extremities, brushing the snow with dirt and leaves in it off as he goes to keep the form as cleanly white as possible. He is well bundled up, scarf, hart, mittens, and a heavy coat over his usual jacket but it is easy to see who he is from the way he moves.
Gabriel turns. He smiles at the girl. She looks familiar but he can't be sure he has met her. There are often children in the loft. She reminds him of his niece. Though he hasn't seen her in a year she must be that size by now.
This is the sort of thing that is more fun with others. Young others in particular.
"Yes. I would love help." He says. He doesn't get up but offers her a mitten covered hand to shake. "I'm Gabriel. What is your name?"
Gabriel shakes the girls hand. Dot! He should have known from the hair. "A pleasure, Miss Dot." He says.
He scratches his chin, most fake-thoughtfully. He makes a point to be THEATRICAL and not PATRONIZING "I have a button for the nose. For the eyes...I am not sure. It is a serious matter. You have good ideas, however. I will probably require your assistance. Why don't you look for those sticks. I will start working on the second part of the body while you are at it."
Dot ...slowly and steadily makes her way through the snow, looking for suitable sticks. She returns a few minutes later with a BIG armful, and drops them on the snow.
She is off again, however, and he is not fast enough to get up and chase after her to be sure. He smiles and shakes his head, leaving the pile so she can pick the "best" two sticks when she gets back as he begins to roll the next piece.
Dot returns with MORE sticks, enough for an army of snowpeople. She adds the large pile to the OTHER large pile and then plops right down in the snow to sort them.
"I found so many that I wanted to bring them all back. You get to decide because it's really your snowperson! I also brought rocks if you don't have any good buttons! We could also use the rocks for a mouth!"

Dot tries to run through the snow; in the end it is more plowing than running but she is making progress.
"Hello! Do you need help with the snowperson?"
She is bundled to the eyes all in shades of red and green -- green hat with a reindeer pattern, red scarf, red boots, green mittens.
It's hard to wave when you are wearing so many layers, but she does it pretty well.

She shakes his hand, because that is Polite.
"How can I help? Do you need sticks? Or a carrot for the nose? What are you going to do for eyes?"
The scarf muffles her words a little bit, but it doesn't keep her from spitting out questions.

"Here's some! I'll be right back with the rest!"
And she's off again.
