Better prepared this time, Taiki has his bag and a jacket. Hands dive into his pockets and he nods at Imogene's question while watching Brier. "She is. And still insisting that we leave, he's coming."

Taiki takes a slow step forward, towards the female guard.

Imogene makes a face. She crosses her arms.

"A bit of a broken record isn't she? How...um. How do you convince her that everything is good and safe. I mean I am sure you have dealt with someone freaking the heck out before. Is she...like...paying attention to us?"

Brier does appear to be paying attention. She looks from Mr. Kayashima to Imogene and back, several times, shifting to a slightly more defensive position and tightening her grip on her ghostly sword as Mr. Kayashima takes a step forward.

"Where is Mr. Imeson?" She asks.

"She is. And she can hear you," Taiki reminds her. "Where is Mr. Imeson? Is he available?"

Imogene shrugs. "I don't know. Reading or something probably. Do you need him?"

Brier continues to watch them. But they are talking, not fighting. She relaxes a little. "Mr. Imeson is...reading?"

since Gabe insists on telling the whole darn book I guess he needs a new thread serialfiller November 19 2011, 12:25:48 UTC
Gabe leans against the wall, as he said he would and waits for the others to get a little closer. "I...I want to know from you, Brier. What happened in this corridor." He admits. "I...have a reason. But first I will tell you what happened to us ( ... )

If there's one thing Taiki loves (besides tea and solitude), it's someone telling a story. Full attention is on Gabe during the entire retelling!

"Ah," a glance to Brier when she speaks up but doesn't bother to correct the name flub. "She says: 'finish it up'."

Gabe smiles. "Imogene told them concisely, about Xanti murdering her father to take the throne. And of course Imogene's uncle said she was and impostor and ranted and railed. He called for the guards..." Here Gabe pauses and scratches his head, thinking about the fact that the guards in question must have been Brier's acquaintances ( ... )

It's a bit amazing to Taiki that he's acquainted with the individuals in Mr. Imeson's story. He listens, fascinated and knowing that he would never have guessed from the limited interaction he has with them. Learning the details behind others' auras is always quite revealing -- the reasons for certain color intersections and triggers, both public and private.

He's caught up trying to disect and paste this new knowledge to previous interactions with the three individuals when Brier speaks up. There is a moment where his mind has to catch up and Taiki pauses, glancing from the ghost to the two living. "She says thank you." He's kept a bit of distance, hanging around the fringes to keep from intruding and also avoiding pesky flying emotions. "And I am happy to," comes Brier's reply when she thanks him. He's curious what will happen to her since these revelations, wondering if it's enough for her to remember, for the spiritual body to heal from that nasty looking torso wound, and perhaps move on.

If Taiki is following. all four beings go down the hall to the little library in question, more of a study and sitting room than a proper library though it is richly furnished and some of the furnishings include well stocked bookshelves and a little writing desk, as well as an arm chair and a divan and a low table. Imogene is the first to burst into the room and Gabriel, on his crutches, brings up the rear. Brier lags behind a bit, but with two of the most important people in the later days of her life with her she seems to have no trouble passing into the room.

Imogene flops into a seat and says "I think that means everything is fixed, right? Could she come?"

There are differing definitions of 'everything is fixed' but he keeps quiet still. It's probably better for a young monarch to maintain a bit of bounce in her step.

In response to the question, Taiki once again points to Brier. A simple gesture where he keeps his limb tucked close to his body, forever stuck in the collected and controlled 'pay no attention to me' presence. The urge to comb through other-world books returns when the psychic casts a glance around the small library but however curious he is, Taiki manages to reign in his attention and return to Brier once more. "What do you think?"

Brier frowns. "I don't feel quite right here." she admits. Maybe it is all the books. "But I will come here, with anyone who comes to see me, so long as they come through the hall." she looks to the medium "Is that okay?" as if the answer could be "no"

A breath and he crosses his arms, hands holding his weapon-grade elbows. He leans back until his hips rest against the entryway and nods. "You have very strong ties out there." The fact that they've made this much progress in such a short time is... unheard of, really. It wouldn't be surprising to him if, when left alone, Brier reverts back to her previous state when stripped of reminders and someone to answer questions. Before he leaves, Taiki will pull Imogene and Gabe aside and have a chat.

"Do you actually recall any of the events? Or is it just the story that they've told you." He asks, head tilting fractionally to the right while he watches her. "Do you remember me?" Brier looks better but... not entirely complete, yet. "And do you want to stay here?"
