Not much to say. New LO. Thank god. The Halloween black/orange silhouette was cute at first, but made my eyes bleed after a few minutes. Looking at it for a week was verging on torture.
Congratulations on finishing the story. I apologize for not yet leaving a proper review for you. It was truly wonderful and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Although I know it is time for your to move on, I shall miss seeing the update notices and immediately dropping whatever I'm doing to read your latest chapter. However, I wish you all the best in your original fiction endeavors. Developing your story's magical "physics", so to speak, should be a lot of fun.
Good luck on the basement cleaning! I know I have several similar projects that I've been putting off way too long. If I survive to the new year, maybe I'll tackle one of them. :D
I'm excited about continued writing, and I'll post early experiments to awenish.
I just finished the basement. It was pretty horrific, and there is a pile of old electronics equipment that I didn't touch, but I can go down and walk around and not freak out now! I guess next is yardwork and the attic.
I look forward to reading what you put up! I'm sorry that I have been more active in that comm. Life has been eating my brain, and not in a good way :D.
House projects are never-ending aren't they? I'll bet it feels good to have one finished already. Good luck with the rest.
Life doesn't let up, does it ;P We had such a flurry of activity in the early weeks, then a big drop off. Hopefully it will pick up again. I feel like I should post something soon, now that I'm done with my big project.
The basement was especially important because we have half a dozen little things that I need a handyman for--one of them is electrical but I've been too embarrassed of the yuck factor in the basement (location of fuse box) to call anyone out.
Oh goodness. The kind of research you're talking about took me months, and that was building on the knowledge I already had. Then again, I've never gamed. You probably have and I'm sure that would help you.
Cleaning is the best for brainstorming, I've found. I just need to figure out a way to rig up a voice recorder or something to get all my notes down, because its hard to stop and scribble in a notebook when inspiration hits, LOL! :P
Congrats again on finishing Peace Treaty. I saw the notice for it in the newsletter inbox, so I went over and looked at your review page. (1685 reviews =/= a nobody, BTW. Just so you know, LOL :P) I almost felt kinda sorry for the people who were begging for more, knowing how much you were done with fandom/fanfic in general. I can definitely see how that sort of adoration can be addicting and make people want to just keep adding to their stories, even beyond the original endpoint...so kudos on knowing when your story is Done, and when it's time to move on

Cleaning is a perfect activity for letting the mind do its thing. You are so right about needing an internal voice recorder! I also do a lot of brainstorming while walking the dogs, and even if I immediately rush to the computer or a piece of paper when I get home, I find myself not able to remember enough details of the flashes of brilliance (lol) that I came up with not twenty minutes before.
My short-term memory is a joke.
Thanks re PT :D I have had a pre-canon InuPapa/SessMom long one-shot in my mind for over a year, and I may someday want to pull that out, but other than it, I'm done with IY. So done and so happy. And the beautiful thing is I can always come back :)
Sorry about your angst level. *hugs* There seems to be an unreasonable amount of bad shit going on. One could stay off the internet, but then one would miss the rare wonderful, life-affirming shit.
