Tired Sunday

Yesterday I went to my friends' house (married couple who are opening the restaurant) before 11am to load up.  Drove down to Market Street.  We set up the tent and tables under the constant threat of rain.  Fortunately we didn't get too wet and the change of clothes I brought were unnecessary.

The festival started at 2pm and we were slammed.  Sold ( Read more... )

OMG, Ben & Jerrys is the one thing I mourn not being able to eat anymore. I love all their crazy flavors - it was a pint of Americone Dream that made me realize I was lactose intolerant.

*sigh* Memories, memories.

I hear ya on dragging around. I was up early with the plan to do some capping for kidsincdaily and then start the next chapter of SiB...and yeah. That completely didn't happen, LOL. (Well, I did cap for the comm, so I feel loads better about that, but didn't make much of a dent in the chapter. *sigh* Why is it that I can't carry forward the momentum of completing one project into working on my next one? ARGH.)

Anyway. Happy to hear your friends are off to a good start with their restaurant!! Sounds like you guys were a hit :)

I am a bargain, store-brand shopper at the grocery, but BnJ is worth an occasional splurge. Chubby Hubby and Americone Dream are some of my favorites. There was a flavor back in the mid 90s called Cool Britannia--vanilla with strawberries and chocolate-covered shortbread--that Stuart was borderline addicted to. It crushed part of his soul when that flavor was axed, so I understand your sadness in not being able to indulge ( ... )

Seriously. I can't afford not to be these days. B&J was my splurge, too, and I'd eat it when I really needed it, LOL - so three pints (or whatever the sale was) lasted me a good long while.

Give yourself a short transition then sit down and just write. Even if you know you'll end up deleting. Reread things that gave you inspiration before, reread the previous chapter, look at the bright spots in your outline--write a scene that jumps out at you. Good luck!

Thanks =) I'm rereading the story now, from the beginning, to kinda get back into the 'feel' of it. It's been so long since I've written something creative that I feel way out of practice. Here's hoping something productive will come of the week!

The festival went well, but the tenant who is in the space now is staying through Thanksgiving weekend (which we found out through the rumor mill yesterday). This is after we thought they'd be out in July.

...at this point, I'd probably have to see it to believe it. LOL really??

Yes, I went to Whole Foods so I could eat low-fat, low-cal for dinner and ended up bringing home a quart and a half of ice cream. No, it doesn't make sense to me either.

lololol.....this happens to me, too. :)

Hope you get some rest!

;) Sometimes you just need to splurge?

Hahaha I have a friend in Chicago who I had to listen to rant for 15 minutes about the Bears losing.

Glad the Packers are doing well. the Vikings have not come out for the second half the last two weeks.

About 160 pages into Dance with Dragons. Don't know what I am going to do when I finish. I just can't stop reading. I don't think I would want to be a wolf. I don't like raw elk

Poor Vikings. Looks like they'll be at the bottom of the NFC North, now that Detroit looks like they have gotten their act together.

You've been doing a lot of reading! I'll be interested to see how you like DwD. I don't think I would want to be anyone or thing in ASOIAF--pretty much everyone has a rough time in Martin's world.
