wpm typing test as video game; momma knows best

Huge turn around in the temperatures here.  Today it felt like November--high 50s, drizzly, overcast, windy.  So bizzare considering we were 102 three days ago.  40 degree difference.  And it's supposed to be like this for the next several days.  Feels nice to not sweat, though I'm looking forward to the weekend when it will be back into the ( Read more... )

I agree, re the weather. Soooo glad it is out of the hundreds. I'm hanging outside and shivering because it feels so nice. :)

lol, I had to go take an online typing test. If I'd quit making mistakes, I'd be running 70, but it averaged out to 60-62, lol. And yes, it's addictive. *fingers crossed you get it.*

It's been extra nice sleeping weather :)

After I posted, I broke 60 and only had one mistake. I could probably type a lot faster with more mistakes, but I'm compelled to backspace and fix the little things.

I don't really want the job. I don't want a full-time/no flexibility thing. But the full benefits make me think it's worth it to just apply.

We have a week of mid-80s highs, and I am *loving* it. The drop in temperature is incredible, I agree. I just hope it doesn't shoot all the way back up again.

Good luck with the secretarial job! What level judge is it?

It sucks about the other possible job/your friend's predicament. I can't imagine why anyone would want to hold down two rent payments either, especially in a location like you described. Some people just can't get their shit together, no matter how much it costs them. It's only really obnoxious when it inconveniences others, and that definitely qualifies!

Hope your back feels better!

I hope this is it as far as the obnoxious heat, but I'm sure we haven't seen the end of summer yet. Especially THIS summer. From hell.

Family court. Stuart says the judge is really nice, but she'll be retiring soon.

I feel so bad for him! He's totally ready to go...just waiting for the other restaurant owner to get her shit together and move. Had he known that this was the situation, he would have structured this summer totally differently. It's so rude though. She knows he wants to get in there. *shakes head*

stayed right at 57-59 wpm with few mistakes. The notice for the job says 60+ wpm

Close enough! \o/

Tomorrow will not be pretty.

*wince* crossing my fingers for the kidlet. A bad day will ruin the willpower even more.

Best of luck, and hoping the back feels better!

I hope she's got a positive attitude LOL It'd be different if she enjoyed being challenged, but my kid is lazy.

Not my back so much as my hamstrings. And I feel much better today. Thanks :)

When the place gets up and running, let me know where and I'll drop by for a taco and probably bring a couple of people with me.

If you end up applying for the job, good luck! You can do it. ^_^

I can't wait for it to get warm either. This cold weather really knocks me down.

The cooling off is nice, but I'm not ready to be chilly all day yet. Some sun would help.
