Food Groups Down Under

Dec 19, 2006 06:35

This post is dedicated to anyone I know in the Australo-Pacific region.

Yesterday, my lunch consisted entirely of a box of Tim-Tams. Yes, a whole box. Yes, Tim-Tams. You guys are right- they're pretty damn good. Once again, the Land Down Under proves its worth.

Tim-Tams are like legal tender amongst my friends. Didja you know that they're being sold at Cost Plus now? And that there's a Cost Plus not far from my parents' house in Cali....?

And I'm flying out for Xmas today...?

Are you even getting the hints I'm throwing your way?

*sighs, shakes head*

And you're supposed to be one of the last lines of defense between rogue enemy ambassadors gaining access to the NYC-streets...

I save you every day. My operations go unseen by the common eye! Unless cookies are involved.

According to Wikipedia, they sell Tim Tams in Japan! I'll keep an eye out!

I've heard about these Tim Tams! Every month I enter an online contest to win a basket of Tim Tams. Haven't won yet. :(

I've had Jaffa Cakes, and Tim Tams are next on my list.

I have another box. I predict a similar lunch today. Tasty! You should come up and try some before they're all gone. ;-)

Jaffa Cakes are my ticket to immortality. I've eaten SO MANY of those unnatural confections, I won't rot when I die.

Is that anything like all the Fruity Pebbles I used to eat?

We have 'em here (Indonesia), too. Complete with a sexually suggestive ad campaign where one of our hottest actresses, Titi Kamal, dressed up like a naughty nurse and proceeded to eat one of the chocolate-covered Tim-Tams in slow motion.

Well, I'm sold. If a hot actress named Titty says eat the cookie, then by god I am going to eat the damn cookie.

Good with coffee? Hmm... well, Mr. Coffee Machine, if that really IS your name, let us see what base goods you can provide to enhance my Tim Tam experience...

The more I read about you people eating these, the more I think I've stumbled into some kind of Choose-Your-own-adventure of nightmarish proportions.

If you like Tam, please turn to page 22.
If you like Tim, please turn to page 13.
If you like Tym, please go to Latvia.
If you are eating a bag of prawn cocktail flavored potato crisps like I am, then your attempt to ford the book has failed, you have lost three internal organs and two oxen, and have contracted dysentery. You have died! Please turn to page 1 and start again.
