i am absolutely terrified of these entrance exams.

i started volunteering for a kitty rescue organization--they take in feral cats and foster them and train them to be good housecats. seems like effective training--the cats i've seen of theirs are all very sweet. i was thinking about volunteering for the humane, but these people are a lot better (and no-kill as well). it's taking the edge off ( Read more... )

got a call from mom this morning--my grandmother died last night of a heart attack. it's probably for the best--she would have had to start dialysis next week, which she didn't want.
we weren't extremely close, but close enough. i miss her. christmas will be rough.

day 2 of the trip: badlands are awesome.
finding an ANT COLONY in my car: NOT AWESOME.
