Last night = totally uneventful. We had plans to either go to the Eaton Centre or go to the midweek service at Jarvis Street. We did neither and each fell asleep on the couch watching TV after dinner. The door to our living room was closed, so it got hot in there and I woke up stiff and sweaty. Well, after having seen Clint's blog, I decided to start one of my own. In a sense, this is a blog, and I've often referred to it as such. I'm going to keep this one as a catalogue of my day to day. I went to bed late last night because I stayed up reading Del Ratzch's Science & It's Limits. It's a good book. I just through his section on Karl Popper's idea of falsification as an alternative to positivism, which in turn has its own problems. Again, there is no heat-wave today, which I am entirely thankful to God for. Hopefully we bypassed it while up north, and I won't have to deal with dreadful heat again until next year. We had more record-breaking heatwaves this summer than in many, many previous years.

It's been an unproductive day today. Too many phone calls. I spoke to my friend Heinz twice, accumulating to an hour. Every time he calls, we usually shoot the breeze for about 40 minutes before we actually get down to business. I love conversations like that, but they can tax your time.  I always have this fear when I return from vacations that I'm gonna come back to work to find out that I'm fired. I was very happy yesterday to find out that my fears were unfounded.
