"Mindful to my criticism" gawd that's funny to me. Maybe b/c the guy's like 20, maybe b/c it strikes me as archaic and overly pretentious. And yet so cute!

Yes, today has been Thursday...and whereas I probably should've spent it recouping some sleep, I went the completely opposite route. Work from 7:30-12:00...during which I incurred a headache going over a Process Analysis paper for changing a tire. (Not just any tire, but one at a Discount Tire - the author's workplace.) Y'know, the hardest part about working (with people) at the Writing Center is tact. You read these papers, and there is a certain line between what's considered proper english and what stands as the reader's voice. The hard part is where to draw that line, and how you tell the student that they've crossed it.  Maybe that's more like objectivity or ( Read more... )
