Ooh, very nice. It's a bit sad at times, but I enjoyed the way you wrote from Murata's POV. I had been wondering what he thinks of all those lives he's had. Thanks for posting this!

Yeah, it's a much sadder fic than I intended. I mean really, Murata/Shouri, but sad? I wouldn't have thought my brain would go there, but then, you know better than most my penchant for tragedy. I mean, I made a tragic-at-times Yongha fic. That has to take some twisted sort of talent something.

This must be the first Shori/Murata I've ever read that's completely convinced me. It's so bittersweet and nostalgic and painful and sweet and omg *GUSH*.

As for Shinou... my take is, it's not so much that he wants to be loved anymore, I think, as his refusal to let anything go, like a child who won't share a toy even though he's not played with it in years. Murata has a point when he says Shinou is dead, and incorporeal besides, I think. He's really been in Shinou's thrall long enough *lol*

As for being the "first" fic... please tell me, are there more!? I wasn't aware anyone but I was crazy enough to write this pairing! Linkie? *looks hopeful*
