As for Shinou... my take is, it's not so much that he wants to be loved anymore, I think, as his refusal to let anything go, like a child who won't share a toy even though he's not played with it in years. Murata has a point when he says Shinou is dead, and incorporeal besides, I think. He's really been in Shinou's thrall long enough *lol*

As for being the "first" fic... please tell me, are there more!? I wasn't aware anyone but I was crazy enough to write this pairing! Linkie? *looks hopeful*
