So, I go to the doc for the first time in 12ish years (ankle issues don't count) and I'm told, "Wow 42 and not on meds, that's amazing."  Really?  That's amazing?  What, we are all supposed to get medicated up?  My blood pressure was a bit high, but my co-workers think I should give it a few days and relax before I go in and get it taken again.  I ( Read more... )

I think people are way too eager to jump on the 'there's a pill for that' train. =/

As for the beer song- they play it at every game on campus- at least I've heard it at every game I've been to. :)

Feel better. Beer is packed with vitamins and other good stuff, so hells yeah:)

Yeh. I'm much more in thinking there are natural things I can do. I'm trying to stave off a cold right now drinking lots of herbal tea rather than downing pills.

I can remember one doc saying something similar to me a few years ago. I was surprised that so many people have to take so much medicine. I've head that drinking vinegar can cure a bunch of things.

Sorry about the ankle pain, I think it correlates to the cold weather because all of that metal gets cold and it's so close to the skin, I found when it was extremely cold in NYC, my leg would ache.

Love the little verse, I've never heard it before! Beer does cure lotsa things...
