Modern Medicine

So, I go to the doc for the first time in 12ish years (ankle issues don't count) and I'm told, "Wow 42 and not on meds, that's amazing."  Really?  That's amazing?  What, we are all supposed to get medicated up?  My blood pressure was a bit high, but my co-workers think I should give it a few days and relax before I go in and get it taken again.  I told the doc right away that I'm going to do natural remedies to bring it down.  If that doesn't work, we'll see.  I'm under a bit of stress at the moment, but that will be fixing itself in a few days and I think that'll do it.

Now, my ankle is right now killing me.  I'm swilling a beer and it's getting better.  I remember back in the broken ankle days when I was on these pain meds.  None of them worked as good as beer.  I finally gave those up and just went for the sure thing.

Part of my BP issues is stress, soooooo instead of meds I'm thinking beer.  I mean, it calms me down right?  It kind of reminds me of a little song.

In Heaven there's no beer
That's why we drink it here
'Cause when we get up there
Down here they'll drink our beer.
