Snow is rapidly retreating.. though with more than 4 feet of this crap, it's not rapid enough. The mountians in front of my house are finally low enough that I can see the street again. There is room for more snow should we get it, and trust me, I'm not ruling out an April Fools storm.. 2 so far in the last 18 years.. you never know anymore.

Flags are not sacrosanct, they are only symbols. Everyone in the rest of the world looks at the way Americans worship their flag and can make no sense of it.

Yes they can be a focal point for respect - but frankly they are just a bit of cloth, and if you lose sight of that you become like all the other fanatics.

Blame sleep deprivation for my frankness/stereotyping.

Oh, I completely agree. I have no issues with burning the flag, if that's what it takes to demonstrate how completely fed up you are with things.. and at this rate, that's about where our country is. Mind you, expect to get your ass beat by someone else who's probably been in the military.. but still, it's legal and should be ( ... )
