Last episode saw me raging about H&R Blockhead's notice that I still owed them back for my student tax credit refund as well as 24% interest while I called the government and found the root of the problem.
Glad you're getting them out of your hair. Jeezus. My so far singular brush with a collections agency was thanks to a magazine. I'd opted to try out this archaeological magazine; you got so many free issues; and then they decided to automatically send me more. When I didn't pay for the subscription, because I hadn't taken out one, they sent it to them. Lol. I mailed the agency a letter complaining and dealt with that. Not sure if it's hurt my rating at all, and don't really care since I've got the car already and have no desires for a house any time soon, but it cracks my ass up that they sent in for that.
People are hilarious. If I didn't find it amusing I'd have smacked them silly by now. ;)
Lol, lesson learned, eh? Nothing's free in this world! A lot of stuff like that has fine print - if you try it for free we'll assume that you like it and subscribe you unless you tell us otherwise. Many are the people who have been screwed by that one! I think I got hit once, and I know that my brother did! Funny that they brought it to collections though!
From what dear Mrs. Roberts told me it won't hurt my credit rating at all, because there is an X-amount of days grace period before it goes on your credit, so I'm okay in that regard.
I'm just stoked that H&R Dipshit has to pay out of pocket for being such knumbskulls (that's right, I dusted that old bitch off and just threw it out there!), when they could have just called me and solved the problem entirely.
I think this is the coldest that it's been so far! It didn't feel that bad when I was outside, but the car sure noticed it! She did not want to start after work today, even though it had been plugged in all day!
Just for fun, right now it's only -17c in Tuktoyaktuk, one of the Northernmost settlements in Canada.
It always ruins a throwdown when people are helpful. I wanted to give fifth third bank a piece of my mind (they too ass raped me out of money) But the bitches were too helpful.

I only was mad at the government, no H&R block, but reading this refuels my rage regarding taxes.
As a business, H&R block is SHIT on my list now.

Please let us know you are still alive and not frozen into an ice cube. How cold is it there?!
