Taffeta, pearls and keytars, oh my!
Last night I dreamed I was at an open mic nite full of drag queens in 1980s prom dresses, playing 1980s instruments. One queen in particular was bravely flat-chesting a tight pastel purple silk number, but nervous of her skills on the melodica. I woke up just before she started rocking it. -

Midas went to his first REAL jumper show, with real jumper jumps, and he OWNED it. I am so incredibly proud of this horse. He LOVES it. This is his final round, and he's -almost- out of gas, but he gives me his entire heart and soul and doesn't so much as rub a rail. Champion cutting mare
We acquired a new schoolie. Something about a barn nearby running out of space and this new mare staying with us on a lease for a few months to test as a schoolie. Not that we really have space, but we have excellent shuffling skills, and we've outsourced our neighbour Farmer Fred's paddocks for the overflow ( Read more... ) -

Flickers of light reveal a muddy mauve sky that sounds like someone shaking around big sheet of aluminum.
