New Halloween costume? That sounds awesome. I used to do a lot of colonial French dress-up as an undergrad what with the Feast of the Hunter's Moon just down the road.

Well that's wretched that you have to piece to cut out the last bit. But good that it's something amenable to being patchworked. There will be a photo perhaps?

Hope your muse returns from holiday soon. Doing all the right, dutiful things and having reasonable success at it all is good, but would doubtless feel a little more like victories if your creative side was feeling good too.

I'm always a bit amazed at people who begrudge their tax dollars as well. When the house catches fire-- the fire department comes, and there is water in the hydrant. When the robbers comes-- the police try to catch them. When I need to go someplace there are roads to drive on. Really, I like the comfy social net I live in. How daft to begrudge it's maintenance.
