There is a particular brand of individualism in America that is a sickness. I'm not sure there's a cure for it either.

I've been thinking a lot about America and its love of "rugged individualism" lately. Too many thoughts for a comment reply though!

That's the impression I've gotten over the years - that this paranoia and desire to believe in conspiracy theories is largely American. *sigh* I have lots of thoughts about that and related issues but too many for a comment reply.

I wished we could've stopped the spring breakers from leaving Florida last month after all their partying on the public beaches.

I totally agree. I was relieved that the asinine post on Nextdoor here got shouted down by reasonable people.
