Ask me my opinion on any character from any fandom, and I will say. [Grammar bitch: 'Say' what? :P] If I do not know the fandom, I will say what I think I know based on fannish osmosis.
He had the unfortunate luck to be played by an actor who's really bad at imitating an American accent. XD
But really. Initially, I hated him, because he was "the shallow person", like, the epitome of the unthinking arrogant bastard. :P But I really felt sorry for the guy by the end. I mean, he's not a bad person, and he ends up losing pretty much everything. When he started being disturbed by the existentialism and realizing he was shallow and then he threw up in the meeting... so excellent. I loved him then.
Brad and Denethor, geez. :P Could we get any more difficult and ambiguous characters to analyze?
I think he is, conceivably, a very noble, good leader. His suicide was also of the most dramatic type possible, which impresses me. :P He's also cynical, which is good. What inclines me to dislike him is his bitchy "I hate you, Faramir, go die" thing. So I'm not even sure what I think of him. He's definitely a very cool character. So basically, in the form of those weird communities where you get accepted or rejected based on pluses and minuses:
Anyway... yeah, this one's much easier. I love the guy, completely and totally. He's like... so devoted. In the movie... meh, I guess he was okay, and really hawt, but that's as far as the character went. Hawt, devoted. In Fire From Heaven, though, he was even better: man-of-few-words type because he doesn't know what to say, and sort of possessive of Alexander, too, which made him pretty cool.
Also, as in my icon, he's always just longing for Alexander and not getting any (both meanings intended)... Alexander gets married, Alexander wants to be all "pure", etc. And I feel really sorry for him.
I also think of him, weirdly, as almost the same exact character as Horatio from Hamlet. Devoted, of few words, etc. XP
( ... )
Ah, well. Close enough. You knew who I was talking about.
but that's as far as the character went. Hawt, devoted. I have a strong urge to add in to the end "to me" Is Fire From Heaven another Alexander movie? *makes mental note*
I shall repeat that that icon scares scared me. When I first saw it I thought it was a girl in a horror movie who had either just seen a ghost of her lover/ her lover had just died.
*hides behind her ice cream bowl* um...no? i want to though. i really do. (supposedly the one that came out is the "Director's Cut"...don't know if that's better or worse)

Shadwell, from "Good Omens". If you haven't read GO (which in that case you should), then.... Brad. From "I Heart Huckabees".

Hehehehe. I also really wanted him to stay alive long enough to confront Aragorn. So I guess that means:
+confrontational
I suppose I like him, not as a person but as a character.

+wife died tragically
<3 Finduilas.
(Or that could be a minus, if you want to assume she withered away because he wasn't very demonstrative.)

Hah, Hephaistion is a girl in a horror movie. Nah, this is when Alexander has just married Roxane and Hephaistion's being all sad.
Ask me about a character from a fandom you know about!
