For 2 days I've had a head cold. So I've been home dozing, watching chick flicks, texting my daughter or saying "Hi" to my cousins via 23&Me. My daughter needs me to be back at work because her co-workers love my texts too much. I'm supposed to be up at dawn tomorrow to serve breakfast and lunch which I'm glad of. My great grandmother had written a book of poetry and had it published in 1960 (my mother was born in 1950, there was even a poem that mentioned her in the book.) I found it incredibly helpful as she listed her children in the dedication. But my grandmother went by one last name while my great grandmother another. The numbers are now 994 that are related. These are 3rd, 4th, 5th 6th and distant cousins but blood is blood! I waffled for a little while on how to proceed, then I did a form letter response of my age, who I was, where I was and if they were willing to be a friend while we figured out how we were related ( Read more... )

1. I am 100% white (big shocker).
2. I have 991 relatives!
