Too much to do so little time.

Let's see,
-Thursday, I had a fight with my youngest son (we sort of resolved it, he wants to try relating to me as a human being vs a mother which I actually like better.) just after I worked the breakfast shift.
-Friday, I went to the Nutcracker with my daughter (we thought it was a matinee so we came really early. A trip into Toronto for 5 hrs lasted 12. It was fun but tiring. I got home at 10:30pm)
-Saturday & Sunday, I worked 7:30am-7:30pm to cover for a co-worker who could have in facial infection, issues with dentures or Shingles. At this point we don't really know. (I hope it's not Shingles but it's starting to look like it.)
-Monday I had to run errands then work the 3:30pm-7:30pm shift.

And one of the full timers has announced she's retiring to follow her son to Calgary (he had to move due to work and she loves her grandkids.)
So that puts me 3rd in line for her spot behind a nice lady who has another job at a hospital (which will have a huge conflict if she wants the hospital job more) and a girl who HATES doing morning shifts and can barely do her part time shifts due to numerous call ins.
The nice lady and I had talked about this happening months ago when another girl retired. I asked if she was close to full time at the hospital, or if she would quit it, and she said "I won't worry about it till it happens." So when the retirement was announced I texted her: "Remember that talk? It happened. You have to think about it now as the posting for the job will go up soon." her response: "Oh God! Okay, thank you for telling me my friend." So here we are 2wks later, the posting is up (and I told her) and I'm the only one on it. So now I wait till Dec 28 to see if I have it.

*thinking happy thoughts*
