so assuming I'm not competent (e.g., because I'm a woman), or disrespecting my skills is not appropriate.

Noted. Deal breaker for me: assuming it's cool/OK to behave like the above in my presence. Seriously, it bugs the snot out of me. Worse when they expect me to laugh or offer high fives.

As I say to sauergeek a lot, you want reasonable things. Humans are not awesome at that, even when they are easy reasonable things (which some of those are not). Alas, humans are what we've got ...

Heh. Wanting reasonable things. Yup.

Also, I'm playing on a boat tomorrow that leaves at 3:00. It occurs to me that you and sauergeek and I have not yet visited lighthouses. Did you go without me? :)

We have not! I was just poking around trying to remember which boating company offered those trips so I could ask you about them.

I have been making noise about going out to the harbor islands on the 17th and gack that's only a week away and I need to send email about it if it's going to happen.

ETA: and I am aware of the cruise, but sadly it's against sauergeek leading the training run for his tour and me having signed on to feed a friend who's approximately quarantined at home. :(
