I’m financially in a pickle. I’m in the process of filing bankruptcy and filling out an app to borrow on my life insurance. I decided to file bankruptcy last fall with the hopes of using a lawyer. Hello all! I’m Cassie, almost 32, and trying to become independent. I’m currently trying to move out on my own so I can establish myself outside of my overbearing/overprotective/micromanaging/helicopter mother.

Unemployment help
I have a job that I love and one that works best with all my needs. Only downside is I don't work during the summer. I tried to collect unemployment but found out that my employer -due to them being so small- does not pay into unemployment. Thus, I cannot collect it.

So as stated in an earlier post, I miscalculated when rent was paid. I have approximately $40 in the bank and that will not (alas) get groceries. So I am asking for this to be signal boosted and hopefully I can raise at least $170 to cover groceries until we hit our first payday.
