|| Mingler : Snow Ball War Sign Up : You Been Thunderstruck ||

It had started out as simple nostalgia; this is going to be Dean Winchester's first winter at the Mansion, and Hisoka Kurosaki has fond memories of last year.  The question of snow seemed a rather large one, ridiculously important in a way no other aspect of weather really is, but that's probably more to do with what can be done with snow that ( Read more... )

Damien watches the two with crossed arms and an eyebrow cocked in amusement. They rarely got much snow in Ballingeary, but it had happened often enough that he could be handy with a snowball when necessary. That, together with his intense training and experience in guerilla warfare make him either a formidable opponent, or a useful ally in any such venture.

He's not quite sure which team to choose, so he just watches the two of them with thinly veiled amusement. Whichever team he chooses, he is out to win.

"Hey, Damien," says Hisoka, breaking off to go and greet him, with a big smile. He doesn't mince words. "Want to come in on my team?"

"That depends," he says carefully, looking at the other man mock-appraisingly. "Is your team going to win?"

"Of course it is," says Hisoka, with no doubt whatsoever.

It's felt more like early autumn than late autumn, but Tsuzuki can't help but think of winter. And so he's passing through the main room with a pot of hot chocolate and a fresh pile of powdered sugar donuts, ready to share with any who'll have them.

"Tsuzuki!" says Hisoka, with a smile. "What are you up to?"

"Ahh, I just felt like putting out some hot chocolate and donuts: it's not winter yet, but I guess I'm trying to get into the spirit," he says. "What's going on?"

Hisoka explains, "Dean and I challenged each other to a snowball fight...as soon as there's any snow to throw, that is. Then it was, 'Oh yeah, you and who else?' So now we're recruiting. Feel like backing me up?"

Catherine is trying to write, but the squabble between Dean and Hisoka is very distracting, and so she sets it aside. "Mister Winchester... might I ask what is going on?" she asks, a little cross, but careful not to show it.

Dean jumps a little at his name being called, distracted mid-insult from what he was saying to Hisoka to look guiltily over his shoulder. His mildly harrassed expression melts instantly to a broad, charming smile.

"Hey, sweetheart - me'n my friend here were just trying to settle a differen of opinion," the hunter replies, turning towards her. "Wanna help?"

"I would be glad to be of assistance," she says. "But might I ask, what seems to be the cause for this squabble?"

"Sure can," he replies, glancing back at Hisoka before returning his attention to Catherine with feigned exasperation. "This clown here seems to think he can take me and anyone who stands with me in a snowball war. Ain't that the silliest thing you ever heard?"

He's not exactly grinning, but it's lingering there around the corners of his mouth and eyes.

Riku is reading on a couch, but the squabble catches his attention: it reminds him of when him and Kai used to bicker and so he has to see what's going on. "Hey, what's going on?" he asks, curiously.

"Recruiting two teams for a future snowball fight," answers Hisoka. "Do you by any chance have a good arm?"

"I gotta pretty good arm: my dad taught me to pitch a baseball, but I've gotten better," he says. "I'm Riku, Riku Miyagusuku."

Hisoka responds, "Hello, Riku! I'm pleased to meet you. My name's Hisoka Kurosaki. Baseball, huh?"

Well. Even if the typist is starting into finals, we can't have a snowball fight involving Dean without Sam. At least as far as the typist is concerned. So he's wandering in from outside (running again, now) and looks a little skeptically at the squabble, arms crossing. Though one corner of his mouth quirks up a little bit.

AUGH I AM ALMOST EMBARRASSED TO SHOW MY FACE but I will try to be back more when I go on break

Dude. Dude. They will be unstoppable. Dean is pretty involved in his smack-talking, which is not all that unusual, but it'll be pretty obvious the moment he spots his brother.

"Sam!" he barks in the moment after his eyes light up considerably. He's been happy to see Sam for far longer than he hasn't been, and that's still the kneejerk reaction. He waves to invite Sam in closer, expression stubbornly set. "Come set this poor midget straight - he thinks he can whoop us in a snowball fight."

Dean is obviously assuming Sam will be on his team. This may be incorrect, but that has not occurred to him.

NEVER BE EMBARRASSED. SAM IS WELCOME ALWAYS. <3 <3

Utterly and completely unstoppable. We are assured. Sam's eyebrows stay up and he rocks back on his heels a moment before venturing over and examining Hisoka, remembering meeting him, and then glancing sideways at Dean.

"Huh," he says, pretends to consider for a moment, and then half smiles. "Clearly he's never gotten into a snowball fight with us."

(It was a good assumption.)

So are we doing a three-way thread or...?

"It's the other way around," Hisoka replies, cheerfully. "You've never been in a snowball fight with me."

[Posting order Sam -> Hisoka -> Dean? XD]
