Really, it was just a teleportation spell and it wasn't like he hadn't done it a million (okay, not a million, but a bunch) of times before. Just picture what you want in your head and do it. Everyone was tired from the fight and it wasn't like he had much to complain about. He was just as dirty and bruised and bloody as the rest of the team and he ( Read more... )

So, of all the things Dean had seen here so far, a kid in spandex and bad accessorizing shouldn't be one of the weirder ones. It is, though, and for a few long seconds he just pauses where he is because he was definitely, no really definitely, alone a second ago. He would not have missed seeing that kid if he'd been here when Dean had initially looked around before, so that leaves pretty much just the one answer. The hunter stands from where he'd crouched, poking at something on the ground when the toe of his boot wouldn't do any longer.

"Hey, kiddo - where's the Halloween party, huh?" It's just an opening gambit, not too heavy on the mockery; his lopsided smirk advertises that he thinks he's pretty funny, anyway, as he starts towards the stranger.

Billy would insist that, yes, it was a manly startled squawk he gives when a big guy kind of pops up out of the bushes at him.

"Ah! Um... W-well... Not here. I'm just gonna go. To the costume party. Which is totally not here and I'm totally not meaning to trespass or anything." God Billy, shut up!

"So... If you could just point me to the main road or something? That would be awesome."

The smirk, with a raise of both eyebrows, starts trudging towards a fullblown grin. He catches on quick, this Dean fellow, and if he thought to look into his own behavior more, he might be slightly embarrassed that the first reaction to what he suspects is going on here is amusement.

"That would be awesome, wouldn't it? Wish I could, dude. Don't know where it is myself." Dean wipes his hands off on each other, tapping the soil around the bush he'd been looking at back down with his boot.

"You... wait, what?" Does not compute and Billy takes a step back from the bigger guy.

"Oookay..." He reaches up to absently scratch at some of the mud and blood drying on his cheek. "So... Um, you haven't seen my friends anywhere, have you? We're all dressed up."

Perhaps at one point or another of his arrival, Billy will come across someone... rather ordinary-looking, aside from the gown she's wearing, which is by some feat of talent both extremely elegant and rather sober.

Phedre will be out walking - she's got a basket on her arm, and she might be back from having taken lunch to one of the men in her life. She's calm, she's relatively happy, and just wandering back to the Mansion.

If Billy's hungry, she might even have a spare sandwich or some fruit in her basket.

Billy's a teenage boy. He's always hungry. Though not nearly as voracious as Phedre's son is we're sure

Billy's trying his best to be as low-key and relaxed as possible, but it's not working terribly well. At the moment, he's probably still looking for a phone or something that he can use to call home and won't notice that he's about to collide with the lady until it's almost too late.

"Sorry! Sorry, I'm so sorry!"

Bumped into! or almost. And perhaps the basket will plummet to the grass, with a couple apples rolling astray?

Phedre blinks, steps back from the encounter, looks at the young man who just collided into her.

"-- It's quite alright," she says, and then noticing the escaping fruit, -- "-- oh Blessed Elua --" and she turns to go fetch them before they roll too far.

But there's more than one, and she will probably appreciate some help.

Billy blinks and does chase after the other rolling apples, still apologizing like the dork he is.

"I'm really sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." He puts the apples he finds into his shirt.

If Billy ventures into the library, he might spy a pretty girl in a blue sleeveless dress over a white blouse, like something out of a Jane Austen movie, except that she's currently nose-deep in a volume of Bram Stoker (from a later period, yes, but she was directed toward it by a young historian). She's rather curled up in her chair and very absorbed, but she's quite interruptible.

Okay, now he's lost. Billy frowns and tightens his grip on his messenger bag strap.

"Left at the huge vase and a right at that wall thing... or was I supposed to go left? No, right..." He's talking softly to himself as he starts to walk the stacks, curiosity getting the better of him and he blushes when he realizes he's not totally alone in the library.

She's lost in the misty woods of Transylvania, and likely misses his murmur, but she does lift her head a bit as she turns over a page. Was that sound the wind in her imagination or a voice nearby...??

Well, she's not yelling at him to shut up or anything, so Billy's going to just play it cool. Yeah, he's totally not some weirdo that talks to himself all the time and is just here looking at the books.

"Oh wow." So much for playing it cool. "The color edition of House of Leaves..."

If Billy decides to wander around, he might come across two elves - not the most well known of the gang, but certainly a pair with noticeable features.

Elured and Elurin are sparring in a clearing by the Mansion, making a day of it. One of them hit the other's arm, the other decided to charge, and now they're in a pile on the early summer grass, wrestling and laughing too much for this to be a serious scuffle.

Honestly, at first Billy doesn't notice the elf-thing because he's too busy trying to find a place where someone isn't to try a spell. He's really too drained for a full on teleport, but something small. Just to see if it worked.

The sight of what look like twin brothers playing and laughing does bring him up short for a moment and he wonders in an absent way if he and Tommy would be that close if they'd actually grown up together.

The boys wouldn't be oblivious to someone watching for very long, though, and that's probably why there's a pair of identical faces looking up from the brawling pile.

"Hi!" And they're grinning both, mind you.

"Looking for something?"

Billy blinks, startled out of his thoughts and he takes a step back. "Oh! No, no. It's cool. Sorry. Didn't mean to, um, stare. Like that. Sorry."

Magical teenagers unite? Tom can be found in a corridor, searching through a cupboard, looking for fabric or cotton or anything else that might be useful for sewing. He might not notice Billy at first.

And the cupboard was very cluttered, which means a variety of seemingly random objects have either fallen or rolled out onto the floor, so passing by might be a little difficult.

Magical teenagers unite indeed! Billy comes around the corner, still trying to get his bearings (and possibly still looking for a quiet place to try a spell or find a phone), and spots the mess in the hall.

"Lose something?"

"Huh?" Tom says, pulling his head back out of the cupboard and looking over at Billy. "Er, nope. I'm not looking for anything in particular. Well, I guess I am, but. I was just looking to see if there was anything useful in this cupboard."

Billy bends down to look at all of the stuff scattered around. "There's all kinds of stuff here on the floor."
