(open post) there's a feeling i get when i look to the west ---.

When he came back so suddenly, it took Adrian a while to adjust; he isn't there, yet. Truth be told, he feels quite lonely. There's no one in the room to keep him company - he doesn't even remember that Natalie used to live with him, that they used to be happy and make love and have fun here, in that very room. A feeling, he does get. A gut feeling ( Read more... )

He might spot a young boy, about twelve or thirteen, poking around among the cookbooks in the library. But he's not too busy to pause for a moment and smile at the stranger. "Hi there, you must be new here," he says, friendly, his voice still a boyish chirp, though there's a kind of sad wisdom in his big brown eyes.

Adrian gets quickly over his hesitation: there's nothing wrong in talking to the boy, right? He only risks to make him sad with his blue mood, but he needs to control that.

"Hi." What to say? "I think I am new, after all."

If only he could remember anything from before, he wouldn't say this.

"Well, if you haven't been here before, or if you found your way back here, welcome to the Mansion," he says, warmly. "I'm Riku Miyagusuku."

"Hello, Riku," - pleasantly said. "I was just about to try some new music. Anything you can recommend?"

If he should be outside in the twilight, he may come upon a gothic-looking lady in a red Victorian gown with a black lace parasol, just coming back from an early evening walk.

"It's a beautiful evening, isn't it? A night like something out of a song," she says, in a gentle soprano voice with a slight British accent.

Potential donor alert >.> Mag doesn't mind being nibbled on.

God help us all, that would be lurvely :)

Twilight is Adrian's favourite time of the day, particularly when he feels rested enough. Presently it's the case. He comes to a halt from his aimless stroll, impressed by the appearance of the lady who looks a lot like what his grandmother used to when she was young and highly courted.

"It depends on the song," he says pleasantly. "If it accompanies a story, it's even better."

"I can think of a few operas that would fit," she says, glancing up, looking for the evening star. "Are you fond of the opera?"

"I used to accompany my Great Aunt there quite often. I never grew into a civil afficcionado, yet I can't call myself an amateur either."

Here is maybe a familiar face and 11-12 is likely heading to the library, browsing the shelves but distracted by the music.

"Um, hi." Adrian doesn't recognize him, obviously. He might simply get a familiar scent.

11-12 glances around at the voice, his expression changing to a smile. "Hello. I haven't seen you for a while."

"Oh." Blankness spreads on his face. "You too. Were we friends before?"

Natalie might be outside too, sitting on the porch. When she spots Adrian, she does a double-take.

"--You." It's not a question; it's a statement of surprise.

"Me?" It's just blinking, really. Hands suddenly deep in his trousers' pockets, Adrian wobbles from one leg to the other, waiting. He needs an explanation, we fear.

This girl is acting like his girlfriend. Waiiit a second.

"Are you Natalie, by any chance?"

He remembers what Tsuzuki has told him, and has a hunch.

Not a potential donor - because Delilah would take this for cannibalism and would then decide that you are a weetigo, Adrian. And that would be sad.

But he can certainly talk to her - she's drawn to the library by the music, which she's vaguely familiar with.

"--- Oh."

She knows this one. It's been a long time, though - she almost forgot that he existed.

Will be sending buddies along eventually, I'm just slow to tag new posts due to my thesiatus.

If he remembered anything, Adrian would probably be thrilled to see her. Sadly, he doesn't. He does turn his head though, and his fingers float to press the PAUSE button.

"Hello." Friendly, smiling. "Is the music too loud?"

Thank you, Wil! There's a whole bunch of yours he used to know, indeed. If he had a tail he'd wag it ^^

"... No," Delilah replies, and she's still speaking a bit slowly, as if processing what she's seeing.

"-- Where have you been?"

Sorry if this feels like deja vu. Hm.

"Not this again," he mutters. "Look, I know that this is probably going to sound rude, but I wasn't exactly informed on everything. Did we -- er, how should I put this? Were we involved in any way?"

After the Natalie moment, he needs to be sure and cautious.
