She was just getting a book called Fantomette off the shelf when she heard the youthful voice, and wandered over to poke her head in.
... a.... talking.... unicorn.

She's out and about, at first puzzled as to why the leaves are still on the trees, and then it dawns on her that this place might be like the Everfree Forest, where the trees and the animals take care of themselves.
And then she spies the young human with the sword: she hasn't seen a *human* in armor before, though she's seen ponies in armor, in the Royal Guard, and so she might get closer to take a look.
