[Introduction] Um, we're not in Equestria any more...

Nov 03, 2012 04:47

Nightmare Night nearly turned into a disaster, with Luna offended, mistaking the comical fear of the ponies for real distrust, but friendship had worked its magic and the night was saved. Another lesson learned, and she had a letter to write to Princess Celestia about her discoveries. In her haste to get started, she'd left her Star Swirl the ( Read more... )

Genie wasn't actually planning on going out - it's been cold and windy, and there's nothing like settling in with a nice book. But she finished the last tome of Angelique Marquise des Anges, and isn't exactly sure what to be going for - maybe something very light, youth fiction, she thinks, would please her.

She was just getting a book called Fantomette off the shelf when she heard the youthful voice, and wandered over to poke her head in.

... a.... talking.... unicorn.

Oh dear.

"... er... hello?"

The library is likely the first place Twilight finds or at least explores, avid reader that she is. The place doesn't feel like a pony house at all: chairs and tables are different and the stairs are tricky that first time. But her spirits perk up when she finds the library. "Oh wow, look at all these books," she marvels.

And then she sees the upright figure. Definitely not a pony. "Um... hello..." she replies. "What is this place?"

Genie isn't sure whether Sparkle means the the bigger it the smaller place. But poneys don't go to libraries, do they? Would Eeyore go?

"Hm, it's a library..." Then she pauses, unsure where to go with her explanation.

"Oh, I knew that: I live in a library back in Ponyville," she says. She'll look the girl up and down. "Are you a human? I've read about humans in books, but I didn't think they were *real*."

River's having a rather lucid day, enough to know that a talking purple unicorn isn't the usual thing to find, but she'll just follow her around and watch her. She's more curious as to what the talking purple unicorn is doing than why she's seeing one. She'll probably just keep following her around until the unicorn tells her to stop.

She might be roaming along a hallway, testing doors by pointing at the latches or knobs with her horn, which glows with an orchid-purple light, trying to find the room where she started... And she might not be paying attention to her company...

The longer the unicorn doesn't notice her the closer River will get, trailing along behind her and watching the purple glow of her horn. River was an ordinary little girl once, and watching the unicorn almost makes her feel like one again.

"Ohhhhh, there's *got* to be an open door to an empty room here," the unicorn mutters, cutely frustrated, and still oblivious to having company. "Come *on*, nice Mansion, there's got to be a room for me."

If Twilight Sparkle should happen to step into the kitchen, she will find Hisoka brewing coffee and looking out of the windows at the rain as it descends from the rolling grey clouds. He looks a little abstracted, but he'd be pleased to be distracted from his thoughts. Especially by a cute little purple unicorn.

He might hear an odd little "clip-clip, clip-clip, clip-clip" pattering slowly in the hallway and then there's a soft, small sound like a chime and then the door opens. A round head with a pert, perky little snoot and a unicorn horn poking through a violet forelock peeks in. "Anyone in here? Oh, it's the kitchen," a high-pitched, perky voice says. She nudges the door open wider with her withers and enters the room.

"Oh, I hope I wasn't interrupting anything. Were you having lunch?" she asks.

Hisoka turns and sees her. Delight spreads over his face. (He guesses anything can happen at the Mansion.) "You aren't interrupting. I was about make lunch, yes. Are you hungry? What do you eat?"

"I am a little hungry: I didn't get a chance to have breakfast, because I got *here* so suddenly," the unicorn says, coming up to the table, the top just below her chin. "I eat lots of things, mostly plants and salads and fruits and flowers," she says.

"I'm Twilight Sparkle."

Have a man that doesn't think a talking magical purple pony isn't unusual at all. (Then again, asking him what is unusual is a difficult thing.)

Twilight may hear a loud squee and see a strangely dressed man running over to hug her.

She's likely looking around the place, still taking it all in the sights of this place, and likely not paying any attention. No more than she paid attention when she first met Rainbow Dash and got bowled over by the pegasus.

"Whaaa?" she might yelp, as she's *hugged*!! And we approve the Warden tackle-hugging her!!

He's still hugging her and launches into this in one breath: “Oh my god, you're so adorable, I can't stand it! Ooooh, you must be new, you have to be new. I've never seen a cute purple pony that talks! Whats your name? I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!”

Keep in mind he still sees nothing strange about a talking pony, and The Warden is a bit like Pinkie Pie in the morning.

"Yer squidging me," she grunts, feeling rather... smooshed. And he is like Pinkie Pie. As a human, A very enthusiastic human. "Can't... breathe... much."

If Twilight Sparkle goes outside, she might find a young knight practising his sword form out on the lawn. He probably won't notice her at first -- he's very focused on what he's doing. But when he does, he's going to be pretty excited.

I thought the pony from Canterlot should meet a knight from Camelot :P

A meeting like this has to happen, we approve!!

She's out and about, at first puzzled as to why the leaves are still on the trees, and then it dawns on her that this place might be like the Everfree Forest, where the trees and the animals take care of themselves.

And then she spies the young human with the sword: she hasn't seen a *human* in armor before, though she's seen ponies in armor, in the Royal Guard, and so she might get closer to take a look.

Gingalain still hasn't noticed her. He can get very oblivious to the world around him when he's focusing on something.

"Hello there!" she calls, friendly. "Are you a guard here?" she asks, artlessly.
