[Open] Blissfully oblivious

Caranthir has been mostly out of sigh - possibly because he's been with the girlfriend, enjoying some torturous rest - hyperactive elves are restless when forced to rest. Then again, maybe he's just been avoiding his father like the plague.

He's in his room, frowning at the walls and wishing for the freedom to get out. His leg doesn't hurt anymore ( Read more... )

Eventually he'll hear a light tap on the door frame and a familiar red head pokes through "Hey."

The door swings farther open and a second head joins the first. "Hey."

He can probably tell immediately that this isn't a simple social call.

He'll stand on his feet immediately and come to greet them, offering little brothers a bear hug. "Hey." He can already guess what's going on.

They hug back tightly. Maybe clinging a little. "You've seen him, then?"

He hugs them tightly, protectively. "I've been told."

You know that other guy with the broken harp? That's the culprit coming out, sticking his head a bit too fast.

As if to say, Hey -- what's that -- And he pauses.

"Mind doing that somewhere else, Edain?"

His tone is a bit raspy, but he's less contemptuous than his other relatives would be.

"Yeah, it bothers me." He might just be happy to bully someone, actually. Or just generally antsy and grr. And he doesn't like bards.

Haven't seen this one in a while. And while he was almost getting to be okay with you, Caranthir, this has got every single goddamned Feanorian back in his very bad books. His expression is hard and righteous and yes, judging, looking at Caranthir with heavy suspicion from where he's paused in front of the open door.

"Moryofinwe." Fairly curtly, but he's still family, more or less. Right?

The look on his face says Oh Great. And he means it, too. "Fiiindekano. What brings you here?" He waves him in, doesn't stand. "Close the door, will you?"

"I don't think so. Only passing by, Moryofinwe. I don't suppose you're hiding in here?" Voice markedly tight, yes. Fingon is worried about his sister. And maybe just a little about his own status.

Just a little, though! Really!

"Course not, what a stupid idea," Caranthir replies with a snort. And if Fingon isn't closing the door, he'll shove past a cousin and close it behind him. "What can I do you for? Beer?"

Tyelko comes by...eventually. After making sure that Aredhel and the babies are securely behind closed doors, And after spending a long time pacing back and forth and figuratively banging his head against the wall when he's by himself.

It's not been a good couple days.

"Moryo?"

He's actually happy to see him - and wanders over, takes him in his arms without a word.

"Still alive, bro."

He drops his head on the brother's shoulder and lets out a breath, hugging Caranthir back. Tightly, like he needs some grounding.

"Good. That's - I wouldn't want you to be any other way. You're all right?" Have you talked to him yet? Unspoken.

Pat pat on the back, trying to be reassuring. "Yeah, I'm fine." Haven't seen the old man yet, trying to keep it that way. Unspoken.

Faraday will come back - she's probably only been away for a little - with tea and an attempt at meat and knock shyly on the doorframe before edging inside. She gives Caranthir a little, affectionate smile. "--hello again. I brought you some food."

He looks up - he might have been lost in thought. "Alata --" and he comes over, takes whatever she's carrying in to put it on the table, and just puts his arms around her.

She sinks into his arms a little, and embraces him back, kisses his cheek. "--hello," a little bit breathless, maybe, "You always act like I've been away for so long..."

It's because he worries, darling. "-- I wouldn't want to miss a chance to be close to you," he whispers in her hair. "Does it displease you?"
