[Open] Blissfully oblivious

Caranthir has been mostly out of sigh - possibly because he's been with the girlfriend, enjoying some torturous rest - hyperactive elves are restless when forced to rest. Then again, maybe he's just been avoiding his father like the plague.

He's in his room, frowning at the walls and wishing for the freedom to get out. His leg doesn't hurt anymore

Haven't seen this one in a while. And while he was almost getting to be okay with you, Caranthir, this has got every single goddamned Feanorian back in his very bad books. His expression is hard and righteous and yes, judging, looking at Caranthir with heavy suspicion from where he's paused in front of the open door.

"Moryofinwe." Fairly curtly, but he's still family, more or less. Right?

The look on his face says Oh Great. And he means it, too. "Fiiindekano. What brings you here?" He waves him in, doesn't stand. "Close the door, will you?"

"I don't think so. Only passing by, Moryofinwe. I don't suppose you're hiding in here?" Voice markedly tight, yes. Fingon is worried about his sister. And maybe just a little about his own status.

Just a little, though! Really!

"Course not, what a stupid idea," Caranthir replies with a snort. And if Fingon isn't closing the door, he'll shove past a cousin and close it behind him. "What can I do you for? Beer?"

[valiantfinwe]

"Don't be absurd. If not that, then what are you doing, if I may ask so much?" Still sharply, with more of an edge than he's had in months. Hostility is easily transmuted.

"Resting an injured leg. I'm limping." Barely. "What do you care anyway?"

"Am I no longer allowed to ask simple questions after your well being?" :| :|

"It's generally uncharacteristic." He wanders over - no, limps over - to the spot where he's moved his still, and serves himself a mug of beer, then one for the annoying cousin.

"You're here about my father, admit it."

Grimace.

"Why would I speak to you about your father, Moryofinwe, when it is well known that you are the one he is least likely to listen to in the event that I were having difficulties with him?"

"I was just going to ask you that." Pushes the beer his way, and has his own.

[valiantfinwe]

Fingon stares at it as thought it is a foreign animal, and then sits down and takes a decorous sip. "I wasn't looking for you."

"As evidenced by the fact that I dragged you in here and tied you down to force you to have ale with me." Deadpan.

[valiantfinwe]

Fingon stares at him, not humored. "Have you spoken to your father yet?" He says, finally, bluntly. Because sometimes that's all you can do. Or more like because he is confounded by Caranthir's own bluntness, but shhh.

Fingon, he is not so good at the sneaky.

"No, as evidenced by the fact that I'm still sane, thank you." And he plans on keeping it that way. He punctuates that with more beer quaffing.

[valiantfinwe]

"What are you planning on doing about him?" Yes, still bluntly, and this is important, why do you ask.

Just for the sister. He swears.

"You're asking me to do something about my father? Eru, Kano, if I had any idea on how to handle His Highness, I'd have put it in place as is."

A beat.

"You're worried about Ireth, aren't you?" Because he is too.
