SO tired. This weekend was really, really fun, but I dropped rainydaypsycho at the airport this morning, and now I am back at work and exhausted. There wasn’t much sleep, but there was a lot of fangirling and watching of various movies and TV shows and porn, and I watched most of Torchwood with Tonya to make up for making her suffer through Harry Potter. We ( Read more... )

Ah! I thought you might just like The Lair! I am so amused that you did! I saw the janitor's resemblance to Merton and thought you might take to him!

And so with you on Colton! There was another vid posted that is just as bad, but at least he gets shirtless in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkQBb_MrI5o

And I will have to figure out what day new eps of The Lair air so I can see about downloading them.

Dare I watch Colton singing some more? It's so wrong and horrible, and yet incredibly compelling.

Tonya kept torturing me while we were watching by slashing Sheriff Colton and the doctor, though I have to admit that it did sort of seem like they should be playing cheesy instrumental music and taking off their clothes.

Not!Merton was okay, but mostly I just like watching Brad Denton try to act. And Fabio the Wifebeater. He was a piece of work.

There were definitely pinstripes. I am wearing my black pinstrip pants today in Percy solidarity (even though he's a complete git in the books).

The movie definitely isn't my favorite. But then I have low expectations for the movies because I'm really a book purist. I was miffed at the skipping of St. Mungos, but I was happy that Ron was there with Grawp if they refused to take him out (I mean really I hate that part of the book ( ... )

I was saying to Tonya that I think of the movies as supplying rich visuals for the books, so I'm okay with the occasional disappointment. I was just so shocked with the way they handled this one. But I didn't like POA the first time I saw it either, and it's sort of grown on me (though the werewolf is still ridiculous). So maybe this one will grow on me too ( ... )

Ron/Hermione always make it better for me :-)

But I did like the movie. Out of them all though I think the first one and Goblet are my favorites.

Hey sounds like you two had fun, wahey! Heh. I used the final two episodes of Torchwood to lure Sillie into that series. But I'm sure watching all the other episodes up until then will do the trick as well;)

Funny: I agree with everything you say about The Order Of The Phoenix, yet I was not dissapointed. I was peeved about what they did to Cho, but other than that I loved the film. Yes, it should have been longer, although I would have prefered to see more of Snape's memory instead of the hospital. Because I feel Harry learning his dad wasn't (always) the perfect guy he thought he was, was an important part of growing up. It's also a quite significant explanation of Snape's behavior and that will be important for events to come. I think. I posted my Potter review yesterday, if you are interested;)
I'm still overwhelmed by book 5 (and the film) and I started book 6 today to continue the buzz. I love spending time in the Potter-universe:)

It was very fun. I probably should have showed her Captain Jack Harness, but she was already sold on Torchwood before she got here because she'd seen the first two episodes, so I didn't have to work hard to pimp it.

I suppose on second and third viewing of OOTP I will be less disappointed. I'm thinking about taking myself to see it again on my birthday, when it will be less crowded and I'll be alone, but my sister might be making plans for that day, so we'll see. I definitely want to see it again in the theater, and then I'll get the DVD.

Snape's memory could have been handled a lot better, yes, but then the Occlumency thing was thrown out there almost as an afterthought and that entire arc felt too rushed and confusing in the movie. But I still cling to my disappointment over not getting to see Neville in the hospital. It's hugely important to his character development, and I love him, so I'm biased.

Yeah I had a lot of the same feelings about the movie. It was a good movie and they had a lot of what happened in the book in the movie, but 90% of it didn't happen how it should have which really ticked me off.

I sort of felt rushed through the entire storyline. Like there was so much stuff to cram in there we couldn't even take a breath, and everything was out of order and confusing. Visually lovely, but kind of hard to watch on a few different levels.
