SO tired. This weekend was really, really fun, but I dropped rainydaypsycho at the airport this morning, and now I am back at work and exhausted. There wasn’t much sleep, but there was a lot of fangirling and watching of various movies and TV shows and porn, and I watched most of Torchwood with Tonya to make up for making her suffer through Harry Potter. I was saying to Tonya that I think of the movies as supplying rich visuals for the books, so I'm okay with the occasional disappointment. I was just so shocked with the way they handled this one. But I didn't like POA the first time I saw it either, and it's sort of grown on me (though the werewolf is still ridiculous). So maybe this one will grow on me too.

I think Rupert did a fabulous job all around in this movie, and it's nice that they're not making him be so clownish anymore. The resolution of the Cho thing was just so flippant that it didn't work at all.

As for that other scene, they said as they were dragging Neville into the room that they caught him 'trying to help the Weasley girl', but you're right, it was out of nowhere and they were assuming a lot of knowledge from the books in this film. I guess they expected the audience to fill in a lot of the blanks with the scenes they knew from the books, which is all well and good, except my nephew and sister have never read the books, so I know the entire viewing audience can't fill in those blanks.

Ah, well. At least we got Ron/Hermione and the foreshadowing of Ginny/Harry. That makes up for a lot.

Ron/Hermione always make it better for me :-)

But I did like the movie. Out of them all though I think the first one and Goblet are my favorites.
