Today's a two-fer - both my mom and my kitten, Zorro, are celebrating their special days today. Zorro turns three; my mom is a couple years older. It's thunderstorming outside today.  While I highly enjoy the cool air, the cleansing rain, and the fun flashy-flashy the cats aren't so thrilled.  So when Ziggy jumped half out of his skin and ran to hide under my legs after a big rumble (awwwwwwh!! he loves his mama!) Little Zorro is going crazy tonight, and I just found out why.  A cat outside is yowling, howling, mewling - presumably a female in heat.  Little indoor-only girly girl Zorro, spayed at the tender young age of 6 weeks, has only rarely heard the cries of her freedom-loving sisters.  I ought to clip her claws - she seems to be taking her anguish out ( Read more... )
