*Pokes head out of snowdrift* My neighbor took a few post-Snowmageddon pix of our DC-area street, which was hit with about 28" of the not-so-fluffy stuff in the past week.
That's so sweet that you're feeding the poor wee birds, the ones who figured they were ALREADY far enough south for the winter. Slackers. ;-) Just kidding. I remember those wall-banks of snow when the streets were cleared. Brrrrrr. Hope it starts thawing out for you soon!! *sends warm thoughts your way*
That's so sweet that you're feeding the poor wee birds,Those "poor wee birds" were pretty darned aggressive. You should've seen them puffing out their breast feathers (to keep warm, I'm told) and attacking the holly tree en masse. One neighbor called them the "Robin Mafia." *G

Oh wows! You live about 10 minutes up 395 from me. You are officially the closest LJ-er to me that I know. And seeing as I grew up here, I feel the need to defend us and our snow complaints. We don't get it enough to be used to it.
But it is a sad thing to realize we drive better in snow than we do in rain.....
Oy, I hope you're doing OK! I've just spent more than a hour shoveling three feet of snow from my deck, so I feel your pain. :)
And yes, DC is definitely entitled to complain about this snow. For Heaven's sake, I think even Minneapolis would complain about this snow, so why wouldn't we?
Since I haven't driven my car for more than a week, I can't say anything as to DC drivers. But I will say, from now on, every driver in DC definitely has plenty of experience driving in the snow. :)
The pictures are quite unbelievably awesome! But Mother Nature should take a break: Enough is Enough Already!!! Hope things warm up soon...darn that groundhog for seeing his shadow!
I haven't lived in any snow country in many years... seeing these pictures almost made me miss it... ALMOST! My eyes may enjoy the pictures, but my bones also did remember the chills...
Believe me, Mari, you do NOT want to live in snow country. Unless you like the idea of spending 2 hours digging out 3 feet of snow from your deck. *Rubs aching back*
*Takes your warm thoughts* *Smiles* Ahhhh! Thank you! :)
