Staying with the Resistance? That was all Emma. Her argument had been carefully put forward, all points and aspects considered as they debated their options. Stay and find strength, safety, food and provisions with the others or fend for themselves out there. Ethan thought? He'd been all for leaving, didn't trust this group and their ideals, but ( Read more... )

Having already argued her point, sensing the hesitance from Ethan without needing her telepathy, Emma had been surprised when he'd stepped in and then stepped up and started to hone their skills ( ... )

Shifting to stretch and sprawl his legs out infront of him, Ethan reached out to take the canteen and drained nearly half of it in one go. Water, in his opinion, was always better in the body than in a canteen and it was something he was trying to drive home to those he trained and developed. Water was of no use to you if it was stuck in a bottle, in your body though it kept you from getting dehydrated and stopped rogue raidrers from stealing it from you.

Wiping the back of his hand across his mouth Ethan tilted his head back against the wall and handed the canteen back. "Not bad. they're getting their. Still wouldn't send half of them out to fight alone like I know you or I can."

It was a compliment, something that he rarely paid Emma. "Problem is they keep getting too emotionally invested in the fight. What I would do to have an empath right about now." He chuckles at the thought though, considering Ethan has a na version to empaths since his run in with one Mayspring many, many years ago. "Y'all alright?"

She noted the compliment, especially since it was a nod to her capabilities, that he regarded her as competent, it was enough to get a smirk from her. "Empath's are more trouble than they're worth." Although it stung a little, the thought of her Hellions and the one empath that she'd rightly see as fully capable at any time. Well, Emma wasn't bringing that up.

After all, she was too emotionally invested in that.

"Managing. They're planning another raid tonight, it's too soon, but they won't hear it." Two raids in the space of three days was never a good idea. When you missed the Sentinel sweep the first time, there was no way that you'd miss it the second time. They were begging for trouble.

"And yet, I found myself agreeing to go with them." Because really, sitting around wasn't her style, it never had been and it was even less so now.

Another raid? Yeah, Emma had a point to tell them it was too soon. The old adage of 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me' was certainly applicable to the Sentinels; they didn't like to miss out and if they thought that there was any chance that the Resistance might be getting sloopy? Well who were they not to jump on an opportunity.

"Agreed to go with them? Emma! It's bad enough that they are tempting fate with this moronic move but to go with them?" It didn't matter to Ethan whether sitting around was her style or not, it was a foolish thing to do when you knew it was a suicide mission in the making.

Ethan studies Emma's profile and sighs loudly. "You do realise this is a bad idea. One which I'm going to have to come along to make sure you don't get yourself killed for."
