I got grounded more than a few times when I was your age. I can sympathize. But going to the courthouse sure isn't the worst reason I can think of for getting in trouble. What were you up to over there, if you don't mind my asking?

... Stuck sitting outside on the stairs for the most part, sir.

I see. For any particular reason? I know those steps well, and they're not the most comfortable place to sit.

Oh, and by the way, the name's Diego Armando.

The press pretty much made it impossible to get inside, and then... I missed the buss I was supposed to take back home.

Did you work around there before? Your name sounds kind of familiar.

Ho ho! I got grounded a lot when I was a kid. One time I was playing on the roof and lost my balance and fell on my mom's garden and squashed all her tomatoes.

I guess I deserved that one.

I've... never really been grounded before. Well, I've been sent to my room and stuff but never for like, a whole week.

Consider yourself lucky, pal! Next time they might not be so generous.

Hah! Good! Disobedient youngsters should be punished, and painfully. Who cares whether you were partying or doing delinquent things or saving puppies?! You break the rules, you feel the burn!

... Maybe that's how your parents taught, but uh...

Not mine. Thankfully.

What's that supposed to mean, "thankfully"? Don't you know it's important for kids to have manners?

Well sure, but I don't think pain should come into the equation.

Ach, you were at the courthouse that day? I'm sorry I missed you, Herr Justice.

...Achtung, but of course, you were there for the defence attorney.

If it's any consolation, we've found no evidence of wrongdoing in any of his other trials.

Ugh, I know what you mean. My Uncle Badd grounded me a lot for going out without his permission and stuff. Makes you wish they trusted you more, right?

But hey, at least you're not locked up in your room with nothing to entertain yourself with for the week.

Heh, yeah, like I said, it's not like I go out partying or anything. Ever, really.

So uh... what's your name? Do you go to high school out here?

Yeah, same here.

My name's Kay Faraday. And that I do! For a little while longer, anyway. I'm a senior at Los Angeles High.

And you are...?

Apollo.

I don't think I've seen you before- but the campus is pretty big. That and uh, I'm a freshman.
