[And he's...fretting. Quietly. In an unobtrusive sort of way. Really. Hardly noticeable.]

... Are you going to be alright?

[He nods quickly, working that potato masher like mad. Hope everybody likes 'em smooth instead of chunky!]
I'm just...nervous. It'll pass.

Thanksgiving had always been one of Kyle's two favourite holidays - the other being, of course, Christmas. He loved the chance to get to talk to friends, to reminisce about the year; and then, of course, there was the whole 'being thankful' part.
He actually had a lot to be thankful for. Sure, yes, he'd been yanked out of his home to another world... but this other world was full of people he called friends. Guy was here, Kon was here, and Wally was here even if he was mysteriously thirteen-ish.
"Raven, this all looks fantastic," he said with a smile. "Thanks for having us."
He was sitting with his back to the mural he'd been painting - he'd insisted on it. It was, of course, unfinished - the wall was mostly a deep peacock blue, with the bird itself outlined in thin silver. The feathers of its breast had been given some depth, but it was far from complete, and only half of the eyes of its feathers had been filled in with tiny sketches of animals. Each one was a representation of someone Raven knew, friends ( ... )

From the holiday decor that Kyle himself had inspired with his artwork, to the meal in front of all of them, it was perfection.
This was her first real taste of what she had been working so hard to accomplish, having a place to bring everyone together, to let them relax and just be normal for once. It absolutely delighted her.
Kyle's words caught her attention, and the smile on her face suddenly bursts to about three times the intensity that she usually held around everyone. She was just too happy about everything, really.
"No, thank you for taking the time to come. This wouldn't be anywhere near as fantastic without all of you here."

Admiring her own handy work of not having fallen once, she decides that she will take Olympic athlete into consideration among her hundred other future plans.]
You're pretty good at this! Not as good as me, of course, but you know, not bad.
[All good natured ribbing, since Kitty was in the best mood she has been in in forever and Kon could take it.]

Them's fightin' words. Wanna race down the half-pipe and see who can pull off flips?

Well, he'd ignore that, anyway. He just sat on the edge of the bed and sighed a little - it had been a busy day.

But the bed... had implications. He wasn't sure if he would've entirely preferred separate beds - that had implications of its own - but there was definitely some weirdness to this. He wondered when he started classifying new as weird.
Anyway, he knew two things for certain. One, he could not ask Raven for a room switch for many, many reasons. Everyone would think it meant they were fighting, and everyone could very well include Tim. And two, even if that sigh was in regards to the bed thing, Kon wasn't sleeping on the floor.
"What's wrong?"

"Ah, it's nothing." He smiled slightly sheepishly at Kon. "I'm just tired out. It's been a busy day." That was at least part of the truth, leaving aside bed issues. They'd been cooking, snowboarding, and socialising all day, and that was really enough to tire anyone out. It was nice to be able to sit quietly and relax now.

Except that Dick is expecting people to seek him out anyway.
God, Tim and Roy know, now. He feels like throwing up a little. Or at least punching things.

Tim knocks quietly on the door before peeking inside. "Hey. Can I come in?"

For a moment, Dick figures he can probably fake he's sleeping and not answer. Tim would go away, he doesn't usually push, but --
Then he'll come back. And Dick doesn't want to start avoiding him.
"Whatever," he hears himself answering.

"Are you okay?" That's his honest priority.
