[the weekend - bedtime: Tim and Kon's room] >_> 123youreit November 26 2009, 15:35:01 UTC
Although there was plenty of room, there were also plenty of Titans, along with their respective guests. That meant that some of them had to share rooms, which wasn't really a problem, except... somehow, Tim had ended up sharing a room with Kon. And that wasn't a problem, really, because he did like the times he'd fallen asleep with Kon, except... except, they were actually going to share a bed. It was a really nice, queen size bed, too. He just couldn't help feeling a slight... not exactly pressure, but. Expectation, maybe, that he knew he shouldn't.

Well, he'd ignore that, anyway. He just sat on the edge of the bed and sighed a little - it had been a busy day.

There was really no "somehow" to how they ended up sharing a room. People needed to get paired up, and even if they weren't dating, Tim and himself were one of the easiest roommate pairings. Put the best friends together. Put the boyfriends together. No matter how you sliced it, you put Tim and Kon together.

But the bed... had implications. He wasn't sure if he would've entirely preferred separate beds - that had implications of its own - but there was definitely some weirdness to this. He wondered when he started classifying new as weird.

Anyway, he knew two things for certain. One, he could not ask Raven for a room switch for many, many reasons. Everyone would think it meant they were fighting, and everyone could very well include Tim. And two, even if that sigh was in regards to the bed thing, Kon wasn't sleeping on the floor.

"What's wrong?"

Yes, there was really no way they would have ended up with separate rooms, unless they had been fighting.

"Ah, it's nothing." He smiled slightly sheepishly at Kon. "I'm just tired out. It's been a busy day." That was at least part of the truth, leaving aside bed issues. They'd been cooking, snowboarding, and socialising all day, and that was really enough to tire anyone out. It was nice to be able to sit quietly and relax now.

"Yeah," Kon agreed, before flopping face-first on the opposite side of the bed. "But it's a good kinda busy. No disasters, no fighting on the comms, no bizarre snowboarding injuries. I'll take a day like this anyday."

"Heh. Yeah, it's a normal kind of busy." Even with Gar around turning into a penguin, it felt more normal than most of the time. Tim turned and leant back so he could look at Kon properly, and after a moment, he reached over to rest his hand on Kon's back. "It's nice."

Gar turning into a penguin was normal for them. Kon didn't even count it as abnormal for anyone. He's grown up with weird.

He looks over at the touch, smiles. "Yeah. It is." Really nice, actually, and maybe if he whines about the snowboarding, he could get a back rub. Except he'd probably have to hold his aura down for it to work, and that's too much like work. Holiday. Kon nixes that idea.

"We should sneak into the kitchen tonight to make something for the big dinner. Ma's cornbread. Alfred's cookies. Something. Or our best attempt at something."

Too bad for Kon, since Tim's back rubs are really good. He didn't spend all that time training without learning how to relax muscles and release tension in other people as well as himself, after all.

"Hmm. I'm not sure I could do Alfred's recipes justice, but Dana did show me how to make chicken soup one time." He smiled a little more softly. "And the cornbread sounds really good. So yeah, let's do that."

Any back rub that good would put Kon to sleep right now.

"Chicken soup it is." He doesn't touch the Dana-mention, just matches Tim's gentle smile. Holidays must suck sometimes, and he's not going to point that out. "Hers is. Not sure about mine. Guess we'll find out. Think Raven's got any of the right ingredients or are we sneaking out to find a 24-hour grocery store?"

The plan was getting more complicated.

Putting Kon to sleep was definitely not the plan. Tim moved to lay down on the bed next to Kon, propping himself up on one elbow and resting his head in his hand.

"I'm sure Raven stocked up on everything before the house invasion. She's probably go enough supplies for five Thanksgivings in her cupboards." Holidays do kind of suck sometimes, but not when he has Bruce or his friends around. And not right now.

"So that's the plan for later. What about right now?"

"She's gonna need it, did you see how many people she has up here? I'm surprised that we aren't shoved four to a bed." Kon rolls onto his side to face Tim better, managing to do so without moving away from the hand on his back, now on his side.

"Right now?" Tim's hand is warm, and even in a queen-sized bed, they're laying close enough to give Kon ideas that all involve getting closer. "I dunno. Chill up here until the kitchen's clear?"

For the moment, he's subtly redefining chill to mean 'make out'.

"Yeah, I think she might be overdoing it a little."

Tim was unaware of the redfinition, but he was still getting that general idea. It was nice to lie next to Kon like this, and relax. He moved in a little closer to Kon, stroking his side with his hand just a little. "Chilling up here sounds good."

It's not an important re-definition, really. Tim doesn't need to get it to get it. "I don't think she's overdoing it. It's like playing catch-up for all the holidays we didn't get. She wants to have a big family around her, blood or not. Only me and you are definitely different sides of the family."

Tim thought about that. It did make sense, even for someone like him - he'd had plenty of holidays with his family, comparatively. "Hm. Are we?"

Kon grins at him, reaching over to put an arm around Tim and pull closer, until they're flush against each other. "Unless you wanna be kissing cousins."

Congratulations, Kon, you have yourself an armful of Tim. He puts up no resistance whatsoever to being pulled in close, quite happy to move so that he's snug up against Kon. "Ah, no. I think I just want to be kissing." And he smirks lightly.

Best prize ever. Kon gives Tim a smug little smirk. "I think we can manage that. For you." He laughs as he closes the little distance left between them and kisses him softly, almost lazily. "But only because you're hot enough for the effort," he adds, although it's mumbled and nearly lost in the kiss.
