[May might not have been as surprised as she once would have to learn that Gerry and her thought process's overlapped on something, with one major exception. May refused to go home. The apartment, the tiny, one bedroom, way too cramped apartment, wasn't hers. It had been Reilly's, then hers and Reilly's, but never just hers. And she couldn't just go and do homework and live and sleep there. Not when he wasn't just ported out, but was dead, had died, and might not...might not...

She shoved off the building and let the adrenalin of free fall take the thought away from her. No. She wasn't going home, not until she was so bone tired she couldn't hardly even see as she crawled into the window. She had a few hours left of hard patrol to go before she reached that point.]

[It was starting to get a bit cold, and Gerry was already considering going back to his place and trying to sleep again, but, of course, he catches the familiar sight of red and blue swinging through the City. Or, in this case, falling. It wasn't hard for Gerry to distinguish that it was May and not Spidey... He just knew, in that totally non-creepy way.

He was only out here because he couldn't sleep, and it was beyond late for them, so he can't help but wonder just why she's out here, and to that end, he drops from his perch and webs over to her.]

Uh, it's a bit late, don't you think? What are you doing out here?

[Like he has any right to talk.]

Not a nine to five job, fanboy.

[She shoots out some webbing to catch herself just as she finishes the sentence, buying herself a few moments as she switches from falling to slinging properly. That doesn't change the fact she sounds tired, though. Even if she refuses to hear it.]

[Thing is, it seems like May doesn't even need to talk to show just how tired she is. She looks like she has been running herself ragged... Not that Gerry was paying close attention (he was), but right now, and judging from her webslinging, he's pretty sure he could outweb her in just about any circumstance... More than he normally could, of course.]

Yeah, and just how long have you been working? You look terrible, and I mean that as nicely as possible.
