[It's still early in the evening and Zatanna's playing attentive hostess in the yard. She's approached most everyone at least once, making smalltalk and asking if anyone needs anything, even when it's just a few feet away. She's doing her best to make sure everything runs smoothly and everyone has a good time.

Now that the majority of the guests seem to have arrived, she's more relaxed and likely to indulge in conversations of a greater length. Might as well take advantage of it, right?]

[And Jade is wandering around dressed as a knight. Why? Why not! She's never met Zatanna before, so she figures she should be a polite guest and introduce herself.]

[ Why, who is that stern-looking casually dressed gentleman wandering around, and why didn't he bother to get a costume?? What an asshat, jeez. He's looking just a tiny bit awkward and out of place, and hasn't said a word to anyone yet. He doesn't seem to be too big on the food, either. Wow, why is that guy even here, what a spoilsport.

[ Zatanna, of course, he recognizes. And, of course, he's aware that she won't have the same advantage. So his smile is a little more friendly than usual (which... doesn't mean a lot, coming from Black Bolt) when he nods a greeting. ]

[Clark is dutifully manning the grill and the smell of cooking steaks is wafting through the air. He's more than happy to take special requests, and there are also burgers and hot dogs available if anyone would prefer.

He's gone more or less utterly unimaginative with a farmer costume-- flannel shirt and overalls, with a shoutout to the holiday, of course, a trucker hat festooned with bats. Despite his care to the grill, he's certainly more than happy to indulge in conversation.]

[Here, Clark, have a small, unassuming young woman dressed as... a small, unassuming young woman with tiger-striped cat ears on. Yep.]

Thanks. I like your farm boy outfit, it looks good on you. Even with the bats. I hope they're all securely fastened to that hat; wouldn't want to have seared stuffed bat for dinner.

[Chillaxin' inside the house with a glass of red wine, she's currently playing lazy hostess. Her costume is a little too restrictive to allow her to cross her legs, so she's sitting upright on the sofa, watching a certain zombie classic. Feel free to bother her, she doesn't seem to be too engrossed in the film.]

[Ariadne has had a bit to drink. Just enough that she just sort of flops into a cushy chair near Zee and pulls off her stripey cat-ears headband.] Good party. ...Good movie.

[She nods a little. Normally, it would be Vincent Price movies, but Doctor Strange looks eerily like him. It makes her a little uncomfortable, sometimes.] Heya. Enjoying yourself?

Mm-hm. Clark definitely grills a good steak. [She glances at the TV.] Mm, fresh human liver.

Deadpool crashes the party dressed as Xena (he is completely open to recruiting hot blond warrior girl sidekicks), complete with bad wig. Because his player isn't cruel to characters who will be attempting to eat in his presence, it's on over his black and red bodysuit. He has ditched all his guns and hand grenades for swords and a chakram, and he wanders into the backyard rubbing his wrists, which are bruised after a bout of intense arm wrestling with the candy bowl hand. Man, he really wanted a snickers. Is that so much to ask??

Then, to no one in particular, he announces: "Man, if I knew this was a TARDIS house I would have dressed up like Colin Baker."
