[It's still early in the evening and Zatanna's playing attentive hostess in the yard. She's approached most everyone at least once, making smalltalk and asking if anyone needs anything, even when it's just a few feet away. She's doing her best to make sure everything runs smoothly and everyone has a good time.

Now that the majority of the guests seem to have arrived, she's more relaxed and likely to indulge in conversations of a greater length. Might as well take advantage of it, right?]

[And Jade is wandering around dressed as a knight. Why? Why not! She's never met Zatanna before, so she figures she should be a polite guest and introduce herself.]

Hi!

[fishnets]

[How incredibly adorable. ;; How can this not warm Zee's heart? She offers the slightest of waves.]

Hello!

[Jade waves back, grinning.]

My name is Jade! I am Rose's friend.

[fishnets]

Hello, Jade. I'm Zatanna. [And this is her house. But uh, that's a weird way to introduce yourself.] Having a good time?

[respaces]

[She nods enthusiastically.]

Yes! The decorations are amazing!

Thank you! I'll admit that not all of them were carved by hand, though. I did cheat a bit with magic.

That's sooo cool! How did you do it?

[fishnets]

Ah, well, it's sort of hard to explain. Magic's natural to me. So it'd be like, I don't know. Thinking for you, almost. It just happens.

[Jade tilts her head, grinning and looking altogether fascinated.]

That's awesome! Could I see?

[fishnets]

[She loves that look. It's one of the reasons she does magic, really.] Well, I suppose I'll have to think of something to conjure up, then. 'tis the seasons, so... do you like pumpkins? I like to carve them. [In case the front of the house wasn't an indication.]

[She grins, nodding excitedly.]

I do stage magic, too, but this'll be real magic. Not quite the same thing, but I hope you don't mind. [She holds out an arm, fingers slightly curled (it looks so much better in this costume than her usual one!).] Nikpmup. [It's on the small-medium size. Not super-small, just right. It glows as it begins to fully form and hovers for a moment and just as she might think that it's going to drop to the ground, Zatanna stretches out her other arm to catch it -- then hold it out to her.]

[Jade takes the pumpkin, making a perfect :O face.]

Oh my gosh, that was amazing!

[fishnets]

[And that face? Is the reason she's setting up shop in the City. She does a small bow (the costume's not suited for anything more grand and sweeping), then stands upright again.]

Thank you. You can set it wherever -- I promise that no one will take it. [A little sheepishly, like her handiwork is being inspected:] I'm going to be doing some shows in the City, once this whole building thing is sorted out. If you'd like to see a show, I'd be more than happy to provide tickets. [Plural.]

Okay.

[She doesn't seem ready to set the pumpkin down just yet, though, and while she tries to keep her eyes trained on Zatanna as they talk, she keeps glancing at it.]

Oooh, that would be so cool! Are you sure? I would be okay with paying for them, too.
