As soon as she spoke, he let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. He hugged her tightly back and kissed the top of her head.
"Well, you're the best girlfriend ever, so it's only fair."

"I'm not going to hate you," he said with a chuckle.

None of that was true, charlie just overreacted at times. She tightened her hug. "But like...not yet."

He wanted to add and I have nowhere else to go but he thought that might be a bit too pathetic.
