With some trepidation, Pietro arrives at the agreed upon restaurant. He's relatively sure this is a bad idea. Angelica mentioned Colossus wanted to talk, and Pietro was almost sure he knew what it was about. It's the only thing the X-Men ever want to talk about. But Colossus had been one of Magneto's acolytes at one point. Perhaps he could understand at least some of what had happened. Still, that's a long shot and Pietro isn't willing to take the chance just yet. Better to keep his answers to whatever questions Piotr might have guarded.

He's easy to spot. Colossus is massive, regardless of his form. Pietro takes the seat across from him easily, unwilling to betray exactly what's been on his mind as he made his way to the table. "Is there anything here you'd particularly recommend?"

A cynical smile works its way across Pietro's face. "That's the problem with trying to please everyone, isn't it? Someone always ends up disappointed no matter how earnestly you try ( ... )

Piotr has to consider this for a long moment.

"So," he offers, hopefully, "if memories were able to be regained in spite of Wanda's warping of reality, does it not stand to reason that those who have lost their mutancy could eventually regain it as well?"

"Theoretically," he mused. "I regained my powers, as did my half-sister, Lorna. I'm told other mutants have had limited success, but not without technological intervention. I don't suppose it's simply going to reverse itself."

Pietro will likely be able to anticipate his next question. The logical extension of the topic of reversing the damage done.

"Is there no hope for Wanda to come forward and reverse this damage herself?"

"We would have to find her to ask, wouldn't we?" Pietro had seen the question coming, but it still struck him as unbelievably stupid. Surely any intelligent person would know that they'd have tried just asking her to fix it, were that possible. He's unable to keep the condescension from his voice as he replies. "I have been searching for my sister for several years now. There were rumors of her returning to our homeland of Transia, so I traveled there. Nothing. Soon she seemed to have joined Henry's team of would be Avengers. That monster was merely a bored god entertaining itself. Believe me when I say that I have done everything possible to find her."

It is not a stupid question from his perspective, as there's more to it than just her willingness. Her capability, whether any progress has been made in healing her mental state, and so on.

"She simply vanished, then, after decimating mutantkind."

He ignores Pietro's notoriously brusque manner, still respectful as he asks the next question.

"Are you certain that her last action was not also a suicide?"
