Well, as I've been saying since last September, the contract was up in July. But they extended it to the beginning of this month. I was a little surprised myself and I think they were hoping I'd throw out an initial offer before a bit of a bidding war began.

Unfortunately, I'm not... really all that focused on my work right now. What with everything that's been going on lately -- which reminds me! Be careful. It's been rough in these parts lately.

I don't even think I'll necessarily need Kara, to be honest. She's just a kid and she lives with me right now, you know? So I might drag her along for that reason, just to help get her back on her feet and eventually into her own place again.
