I am a magic-user.
I believe meeting others of the same kind counts as an interest.
That and I am curious to see the ways that magic works that is not my own.

It is, yeah. I wasn't sure if something else might have drawn you to it. I know some people are really into the spiritual side of it and other people are there because they want to talk to people about D&D or whatever.

I'd say so. I don't meet many magic users -- well, formerly, at least -- that would call themselves "witches." It has a very negative connotation where I'm from.
