Sunday we ended up going to the mall. I couldn't find dishes but I did spend the rest of my GC plus a bit more at the maternity store to buy my comfy sweater and pants. I may live in them for the next 4 months. Yup, 4 months from today is my EDD (estimated delivery day). Wow, I can't believe how fast it has gone! We returned home and Chris ( Read more... )

Babies R Us is out to get you too! Word has spread about you--damn Target and its big mouth :o) In the end when you get your completed baby room done, it'll be worth the time/effort/frustrations...maybe? hehe

So the Target set was discontinued. Then I start searching and searching for something else I like that isn't $$$$$. I find something, but the dresser has a wait list! And there is the whole change table issue. Fine. Get that sorted out to find that the only fabric colour the espresso glider comes in looks like what shows up in baby's diaper! I am more deterined than ever to have this nursery look fantastic.

Oh, and have I mentioned the Target set is available again? I can't win.

Do you guys have specialty baby stores? Up here, there are tons of choices other than BRU and Walmart. Prices aren't more expensive either.

They are few and far between here and more expensive than BRU. I've scoured the internet where there is the best selection and my head is spinning from reading reviews. I'd rather see the prduct in person so I'll just get a more expensive one from BRU.
Oh, and I know which store in Whitby I'd be going to for it. I just don't kwow if it is still there. I could try regular furniture stores. It is a thought.

I totally understand what you mean about seeing it in person. Especially a glider... You can try http://www.babyproofingplus.com, they deliver to the States, and you can check out the stuff in person when you come to Canada. But the closest store they have to Whitby is Dufferin and Steeles, so still pretty far away. Their furniture selection isn't that great though. But they have a ton of other stuff.
