Teito
1. Doesn't really have any romance but it's so so so obvious it's meant to be a sausagefest of fanservice to yaoi fangirls. There are no girls that have more than one line.

2. Yes indeed! People from the Kingdom of Raggs are made into slaves 8D And only in rare cases can a slave be freed above it's station, like Teito. And that's only because he had magic. He still got a lot of heck for being a slave, though.

3. Teito's...'secret' identify is that he's the former prince of Raggs. And also that he's the vessel of the Eye of Mikhail BECAUSE he's the prince.

4. The Military controls EVERYTHING. Only members of the Church can do things on their own because they're under the sanctuary of god.

5. The art stays pretty consistant! The plot throws us a LOT of balls though, and there are a lot of side plots that haven't even really begun to be explored yet.

Urd
1. A LOT OF ROMANCE mainly featuring Keiichi/Belldandy but it gives us a lot of yuri fanservice too

2. There's the discrimination Urd faces as half a goddess half a demon, and also the discrimination mortals face against holy or unholy beings.

3. Noooot really?

4. Lololol the Yggdrasil system.

5. The art has changed a LOT over the years. A...whole lot. Right now it's amazingly gorgeous though. And AMG doesn't really have a central plot, but a lot of little stories.

Kuno - 1. HETERO. Mostly. 99%ly. See icon.
2. A small bit of discrimination against foreigners? Nothing worth mentioning.
3. Ranma's true identity is a secret to everyone. Not really.
4. We're definitely superhuman through feats of martial arts training! Nerima Wrecking Crew~
5. All the same artist! Character design...really never changes, only gets smoother over time.

James - 1. Not a lot, but what there is, is hetero! Except Brock x Sudowoodo which is like...pseudoaroborphilia.
2. Only villains discriminate, and even then Team Rocket feels that is wrong too. Maybe discriminating against TWERPS is okay!
3. Team Rocket's true identity is secret...until they say their motto. Every episode.
4. Only pokemon have powers! They're natural.
5. Episodic in nature, but often times the same attack has wildly different effects/strengths for PLOT REASONS.

Gumshoe - 1. The only canon relationships are hetero, despite any subtext you may read into it ( ... )

OBJECTION!

In listing powers in Phoenix Wright, you seem to have somehow forgotten about the entire Fey Family. Also, Adrian Andrews' infinite supply of glasses and Matt Engarde's Hammerspace Gravy Brandy!

*desk slam*

Clearly this is a contradiction with

Renge (If this is not what you want, I can do it over again |D) ningen_demonai November 1 2007, 23:23:39 UTC
1) Renge does not get some and never will, heh. 8Db However, my canon's ALL about ze loooove~ We have like ten thousand pairs, but the manga focuses mainly on the Haruhi/Tamaki and the Haruhi/Hikaru dynamics. They're the main APPARENT couple(s) in the manga, so for all we know, Hatori-sensei can pull a supraiz guest on us and have Haruhi fall in love with HIM. |D So, uh, hetero relationships! Although the boys act really really gay ( ... )

1. Romance in Slayers is mostly played for laughs in that just about every character sees that something is going on between Lina and Gourry...except for Lina and Gourry. Some anime-only characters get married off, as well. It's not really a romantical show, but there is some stuff in there. It's all het, with some campy gay played up for laughs (Volun, that Big Gay Dragon, Miwan...and then there's that picture of Gaav and Valgaav ( ... )

EMMA comes_second November 1 2007, 23:50:03 UTC
1. It's a romance manga! All het, although Hakim is gayed up in the anime quite a bit.

2. IT'S ALL ABOUT CLASS DISCRIMINATION. Emma can't be with William because he's rich and she's poor (although he's from a merchant family who is newly rich so THEY have trouble moving in social circles...). Manga never touches on race discrimination which of course would have been RAMPANT, but nothing of the sort is related to Hakim.

3. Hakim oh so very briefly tries to keep his identity under wraps but he fails miserably at it.

William Jones' mother lives under a pseudonym.

4. MONEY IS POWER. There is an EVIL COUNT who hatches an EEEVIL PLOT with William's father to get Emma OUT OF THE WAY and they get away with it because of money and class. On the flip side Hakim manages to help in the rescue for the same reasons!

5. SO MUCH ATTENTION TO HISTORICAL DETAIL. The mangaka wanted to immerse the readers in the time period, and she largely succeeds.
