Mort

So Colin Morgan once mentioned that if they ever make a movie of it, he wants to play Mort- Death's apprentice, from the Terry Pratchett novel of the same name. Mort is described as having "the sort of body that seems to be only marginally under its owner's control; it appeared to be built out of knees" and possessing "the vague, cheerful kind of ( Read more... )

Thanks! I firmly believe that everyone should read Terry Pratchett books, preferably in lieu of everything else including sleep.

If I believe hard enough, this will become reality.

Me too! It is second only to the Crazy Eyes™ as my favorite thing Colin does with his face.

That is awesome!

Chalk me in as another who would love to see Colin as Mort. I'd love for them to do Mort (and they do seem to pick a lot of people who comment on loving the books from the behind the scenes stuff I've seen), one of my favourite Discworld books - basically love any of the Death ones if I'm honest!

I love Death! "KITTENS. KITTENS ARE NICE."

Also, it's always cute when the actors are as obsessed with the book as the fans. Perhaps if we beg really, really hard, they'll do it?

That is rather gorgeous, yes. :)

Apparently what's his name who played Edward in the Twilight movies took the opposite approach, and has been quite forthright in interviews about describing him as "some manic depressive weirdo who's trying to kill himself all the time - whatever his six pack is like" and "some 108 year old guy who hates himself". There are better ones out there, but I can't find them.

I would feel bad for Robert Pattinson were he not now obscenely wealthy.

I know, some of my RL friends have pointed out my horse!fail too; I was just waiting for someone to mention it here. Clearly fact-checking is not my forte. (Maybe they just flew through a very dark cloud of space dust?)
