Violence in movies is kind of strange. Not just violence but the portrayal of death as well. I've watched a lot of movies in my days and I realized that one surefire way to distinguish between an R-rated action movie and a pg-13 one is the amount of blood in evidence during shootouts, explosions, car accidents, you name it. Don't know if I've mentioned this
But I saw the Avengers movie and loved every damn thing about it. In fact it's pretty much been on my mind since then and I've been encouraging everyone I know to go see it. I especially love when they tell me they enjoyed it much more than they thought they would. That's because it's made of awesome cakes.

I think I've finished my statement of purpose. Sent it to one of my professors who had seen the horrible first draft. If he doesn't get back to me I'll send it to another professor, except this one has also not been getting back to me. With Regards to Missing
It's so weird listening to Sean Bean's American accent. I remember thinking the same thing during Silent Hill. I couldn't sit through Hitcher because I have a difficult time with that kind of horror or torture porn or whatever.

I'm getting very close to the finish line on my first application
And getting really nervous about it. Fear of rejection. I has it big time. Turns out the writing sample is optional and it's up to five pages, not exactly five pages. The premise intrigued me but since I work nights and go to school during the day I have to pick and choose what shows I use my precious free hours on and Awake won out. I haven't even caught up on Game of Thrones! So now, I have another load of watching material. Oh well, these are the woes of being a visual anthropologist as well as a Sean Bean
